Thanks for the inspirational video of this amazing aircraft., Have you by chance flown the EF 74" Yak and if so how does it compare to the 110"? Thanks, James
I didn't had the chance to fly the 74" yet, but I flew alot of other planes of that size and it's hard to compare with a plane of 110". This yak is just super, very stable, strong. Good in 3D and Imac...
JensVDorpe, Thanks for the response. I have been looking at the 110" EF Yak for a while but have not yet seen one in person. I am wondering if the club field would large enough to handle an aircraft ths size. Our field is about 400' mowed with 200' of overun on each end partially cleared. I realize that pilot skill is a big factor, but how much room do you need to feel comfortable flying your 110"? Thanks, James
wouldent the DA 85 be underpowerd? i mean you would be if on it just below full throttle and u still want extra pow to get you out of trouble, i was thinking of the evolution 116
with the DA 85 + Tuned pipe you'll have a very very light plane, with enough power to fly safe 3D... But for Imac you could go for a DA 100 or the Evolution 116, but I prefer the DA because it's the most proven engine on this planet :-)
Depending on what you want to do, DA 85 or DA 100. If you'll use this plane for IMAC competition I would go for a DA100 with tuned pipes, if it's only for fun 3D flying a DA 85 with tuned pipe would do great because of the very low weight.

This plane really lands very slow and easy. If you have a clear final, you can do confortable landings on a 80m strip in all conditions.
400' = 120m ? that should do it...

ohh yes but the evolution has m ore power for its size on all its engines. da 100 has 9.8 hp the evo 116 has 14 ;)
