  • WOW how could the quality be so good during 1940 =S

  • lol. the writers of Disney's Aladdin sooo stole from this. but who cares? both movies are awesome!

  • Great classic ..three steps ahead of the rest of the world..***** thats' right Five stars!

  • Does this movie have this conjuring up of the genie " from the land beyond , beyond . Through the times of hope and fear . I bid you genie , now appear !!! "

  • CORRECTION: There are three versions of "The Thief of Baghdad" available at Amazon.com. The original is the Classic 1924 release with Douglas Fairbanks and the more familiar version which was released in 1941. I purchased mine for $15.

  • Excelentes peliculas de esos tiempos, aunque la tecnologia no estaba tan avanzada, hacian unas peliculas encantadoras.

  • woaw it must have been revolutionary for 1940! seems really good!

  • "Flying horse."...that shot looks rather familiar, minus a full moon to provide a silhouette...hmm...

  • 1:47 looool

  • I've just watched this film a while ago. It's amazing how much of this film was used in the Alladin film by Disney. The evil wizard Jaffar, the name Abu, the magic carpet and even the Genie. Then again, those were both classic Arabic fairytales.

  • Americans are

    real

    (thief of bagdad)

  • Conrad Veidt had the kind of voice and inflection that after less than a sentence of dialogue you knew what side he was on - the side that doesn't quite make it to the end of the movie. What a great actor!

  • @errolfan Conrad Veidt Portrayal In Casa Blanca Same. It Took Someone Like"MAD DOG EARL" To Shoot Him.... Great Actor. There's A Close Tie Between The Villains Of Yesteryear n Today. I Think.

  • @errolfan

Mr. Conrad Veidt is perfection and a genius! He totally becomes his character.

  • I still love this movie. June Duprez is such a fox, and Conrad Veidt such an evil villain.

When I was a kid, the storm scene at sea scared me silly. I loved the giant spider, though. Go figure!

  • Lol sad, sabu died at age 30 something conrad veid lived to 50, everyone died so young back then.

  • @TVGenius999 Ah, but John Justin lived to his mid eighties!
