@2manysecrets2 - these are two of the finest living painters. They are giving instructors who believe in passing on what they learned through great education and loads of experience. They are not saying this is how everyone should paint, just how they have learned it works for them. They also have observed many students. Shut up and listen or you will just stay in the place you are and never improve. You seriously need to check that ego at the door because it is getting in your way.
There are many more out there have no patience for such a freak thinking he is cool with very limited artistic knowledge trying to show off against these master artists. Why such a disrespectful freak exist? There is no "Too Many Secrets Too", only out from self-recognition deficit. Poor guy!
I have no patience for authoritarian instructors of any sort who are blatantly incorrect, and therefore promote nothing mut inaccuracies and confusion.
Gerhartz confidently preaches beginning with darkest darks and getting the darkest darks down, etc.
One leaves no room for movement or change by placing the darkest darks first.
How awkward. Poor Burdick trying to accomodate his talk, though his ptg obviously disagrees, working the mid tones and getting the forms as one should.
