Always great, and educational, to watch your vids. Thanks! -- Just a comment about Spawnee147's comment: the idea of a slideshow is not for the narrator to simply read the slides...he counts on you to read (the outline form) and he simply narrates using his own wording...
I especially liked the satistic about professionals only running out about a quarter to a third of the time. If you figure that an extremely good amateur is probably getting fewer that 15% you see the importance of controlling the out come the other 85% of the time.
thats what i call " knowledge is power". learning the fundamental principle of pool would have a higher percentage of being on top.u can be a whole package player i supposed trying to develop ur strength & trying to overcome ur weaknesses in pool. What a great doctrine.thanks buddy. ej philippines
It's a little used skill in my league and I find that the right safety at the right time can give me the edge I need over superior shooters. I've been working on my safety skills over the last few months and find that I've improved dramatically with just a little practice and thought. When playing a shooter with the typical "break and run" mentality, a well executed safety can get them out of "the zone", frustrate & demoralize them.
In 8-Ball 3 fouls is not a loss of game, but in 9-Ball it is.

I took 1 valuable thing from that:
if you play the object ball half ball both balls will go equally far
Obvious when you think about it but good to remember
If you hit it thinner than that the cueball will move more & vice versa
I'm going to try to keep this in mind in future to see if it improves my safeties.
Think most of the times when my safeties go wrong its due to misjudging how far the object ball will go, but I never really recognised that until now
thanx,I always enjoy your vids

Your Safety play instruction is especially good.
