Knock yourself out, Doc, but nothing is "unconditional." Keep it in good taste; he's my mate, ya know. Going for another film on him tomorrow. I am disgusted that anyone would euthanise any creature that was not suffering in pain. Would they euthanise a person for being bald? I have recommendations if they do....
Can I please have your unconditional permission to include this video in my psittacinebeakfeatherdisease, pbfdcircovirus and cockatoohealth websites to show that it is not necessary to euthanase all cockatoos as soon as they develop PBFD etc?
I have 8 cockatoos and 1 of them has pbfd , his name is Honey and is 8 years old now. I got him when he was 4 months old knowing he had pbfd. Honey is such a sweet bird and loves to be kissed all the time.
Oh my god what a beautiful bird, Bless hes little heart, its sad to see a bird look like that. But he looks really happy. i hope hes feathers and beak get better soon! x
Harley is adorable! I loved watching his video. He needs to go see an avian vet though. His beak is in dire need of being trimmed. Please post more soon!
Harley radiates with personality. When can we see him again? His dancing and whistling is incredible. Does he like cuddling? My Geronimo would cuddle for hours a day.
Harley's feathers have been growing out better with all your love and support! The Power of Love knows no end! Keep it up and look out for a new video this summer! Spread the love and see it dance!
Such a sweet little guy. I have an Umbrella cockatoo and a Molluccan as well..the Molly is a plucker and looks a mess but he is happy too. Please get Harley's beak trimmed! A vet can do it for you with no discomfort to him, and he will be able to eat better! Bless him! And bless you for loving him.
When he raises his wings & dances, I can see a fully feathered cockatoo shining through. What a great little spirit he has! How wonderful of you to see him through this illness. <3
What a precious, special bird. I'm so glad that he is with a family that make him so happy despite his illness. He has an amazing personality, I hope continues to have a long happy life.
This video is sick that poor bird needs proper care. Check the size of the cage, the owners of this poor bird need to get a grip, and a bigger cage with toys, for this poor bird.
How dare you keep a creature in those conditions for your entertainment? It's sick.

As a Humane Officer, I must say that this is definitely NOT a feather disease and this bird is plucking is feathers out of stress due to no toys to play with, an extremely small cage, and maltreatment. Look at the cage closely & see how the bars are bent; this is what has destroyed the beak. It's obvious that this bird's in distress & the owner would rather post a video with an excuse that it has a disease rather than take it to the vet. The bird needs a vet & the owner charged with cruelty.
Humane Officer my butt. The bird is in distress?? Look at the way he's acting! I don't see that as distress, especially toward the lady in the beginning of the video. And you have no way of knowing that this bird isn't afflicted with beak and feather disease... If this bird is plucking, how did he manage to damage the feathers on his head and around his eyes?
This is PBFD - which is a viral beak and feather disease that causes beak abnormalties. Because of complications, the beak sometimes cannot be aggressively trimmed. If you are a humane officer, please learn about this so you don't make a poor decision.
WOW!!! what a sweet little bird, and what an amazing spirit, inspite of the disease...such an inspiration!! My best part was the last scene where he lifts his leg up(along with his wings) to say "Bye Bye". I wish and pray he has MANY MANY MANY more happy years ahead!!
Every time, when i come online.. I'll checl your video every time.. I love it so much.. I watched it, maybe 10 times, since last week.. I love this bird..
Harley is just TOO adorable! Who says they need to be in full feather to be beautiful! Does Harley have to have his beak trimmed regularly, and how does he cope with this please? I pray that he has many long, happy years ahead of him yet!
oh my god :D so adourable, I am really sad about the disease :( but its true, your right that dosnt stop her from playing she is very sweet and playfull :3 preciouse video thanks for sharing it
I'm glad he's loved and cared for .. It's a shame that he was born with such problems, but his display of happiness really reflects how he is treated. Bless you, and may Harley lead a happy life.
Harley is not plucking. Harley is afflicted with the awful beak and feather disease. eventually he will pass away due to secondary illness. There is no cure for this ailment. :(
