Any reason all the characters are plus size? Not trying to be mean but you have to pick a cosplay costume that works on your body not something thats gasping for air, she should have picked a different person to cosplay as all of them. One of my favorite quotations , "Know your limit, Dress within it" that is not her limit nor is it any of those people. Im not the skinniest person out there so you wont see me cosplaying a model with a mini skirt and tights so she could have found someone better.
