A great example of amazing game music. This song embodies the spirit of adventure across the open seas, and anyone listening to it gets the since that they are part of something epic (for lack of a better word). This is one thing the Zelda series has always done very well. You always feel like a hero, and the music of the games has a lot to do with that, in my opinion.

I find it funny that even though Zelda fans complained about this style, I complained about the realistic style until I played it because I didn't know if it'd be good or even if it was the same quality wise as this style. I think it's because the only Zelda games I had played at that point was PH, ST, and WW and had NO clue that it was series with more games. But that's what you get when you didn't even know that the first one you played(PH)was actually a Zelda game and you'd never heard of it.

the first: this drawing captures the elements of the gameplay, using cartoonist designs. The facial features show off their emotions very nicely. The boat is very well-done. It's not THE best fanart available, but it's a hell of a good piece.

@xxcl0n3xx same here, i avoided the zelda games because they were "mysterious to me" but then windwaker came in as a christmas gift along with the gamecube and mariokart and smash melee, so i didn't play it, then when i beat sunshine and smash bros. i got bored and went "hmm ill give this one a try see it i can beat it"

I think wind waker was the most underrated zelda title of all. just because it looked like a cartoon, SO many people hated it, but i can guarentee once they played it, they couldn't stop. wind waker was one of the best zelda titles. on par with oot in my opinion.

@kefka3 I totally agree with you. For example, My friends favorite game was Ocarina of time. Personally I thought Ocarina and Wind Waker were both great games and were tied for first In my opinion. My friend however thought WW looked really dumb. I tried to tell him how good it was, but he didn't believe me. Finally (for what reason I don't remember) he decided to give it a shot, so he asked if he could borrow it. A couple weeks later he was going on and on about how it was amazing it was! lol

@lustikurre Very true. Even though it had beautiful graphics from a artistic stand point, It also had amazing graphics from a technical standpoint. It was really showing off what the gamecube could do. It had some of the most amazing cell shaded graphics yet seen in video games, and still they look very impressive. But also the draw distance was amazing. you could see miles across the ocean, and with no load times at all! This game pushes the hardware a lot farther than twilight princess did.

@kefka3 I didn't care for the graphics. I rarely do. Gameplay is what matters and the thing that annoyed me so much I never finished windwaker was the simple fact that u had to play a song EVERY TIME you wanted to go in a differentdirection in the boat. It should have been automatic somehow imo.

@lustikurre you're absolutely right. gameplay matters way more than graphics. but sometimes visuals can have a part in it. if there are bad graphics in an average or mediocre game, it would have a negative effect on the game itself. it had no effect in wind waker because the gameplay was magnificent and the graphics added to the tone of the game. light and adventurous, sparkling oceans and colorful characters. they weren't "bad" graphics, they were just light and cartoonish. perfect for the tone
