come run outside in the city where i live, and have fun dodging bums trying to peddle for change, asshole drivers who scream at you out the window or don't bother stopping for someone in a crosswalk, or better yet, take a jog around the crack house down the street or the apartment complex known for selling everything from stolen head units to heroin. its fine and yeah, go outside during the day but if you work, that's not always possible, plus, it's intended to make exercise fun for kids.

yeah, i can see what you mean, just seem'd to come off a little harsh calling anyone who would own a wii fit a lazy slob is going a bit far when the people buying them are most likely getting it to help them get off the couch and don't feel comfortable exercising in public, or safe for that matter.
