if you post negative comments about behringer's crappy products, world music supply will block you so other people won't see your opinion and you will waste your money. the truth is, most of these pedals and amps break very easily or are already broken when you order them from american music supply. this comment will magically disappear, i guarantee it!
If you search Joe Delaney, you will see that he was a sports legend that died and this is just him visiting us with Satan's body. And Kermit the frog's voice. To show us the latest guitar gear.
@JohnTheRipper2 The amps all come with a nice sturdy 2 button footswitch for switching channels and turning the effects on/off. The footswitch can also be used to activate the tuner as well.
I have the GMX212 combo. I have owned this amp since March of 2005. I was looking for a 212 combo amp and was all set to buy the Line6 SpiderII. I put the GMX212 and the Spider side by side in Guitar Center and played my 1975 Les Paul Standard thru both of them. The Behringer actually sounded better. I also bought the FCB1010 midi board too. I have played venues from small clubs to outdoor festivals (mic'ed). This amp has never let me down.
@JohnTheRipper2 My opinion is that this is a really good amp for both practice and playing live. At home for practice I use the headphone jack to a good set of Sony headphones. For smaller venues (smaller clubs and parties) I run the amp straight with no mic. It is load enough to more than keep up with the drummer and other guitar player and bass. For live venues, I mic it to the PA using a Shure SM57. For gigs, I would recommend the FCB1010 midi board to control the effects.
@TheAirsoftcrazy I own the amp and totally agree it does have too much feedback but i love alot of low end but so i liked it. If anything you should get a noise suppressor pedal if you buy and behringer
100th comment! lol. This sounds pretty great for SS.Anyone tried their tube combo?Oh btw whay anyone know of a pedal in general thats still clean but gives you more harmonic overtones, or just a really in your face big clean, ala john frusciante "snow" or any john mayer clean?
I've never had any problems with behringer equipment..I own a behringer mic-412 stereo cab-b212a powered monitor, awsome!- all work flawlessly...and sound damn GOOD!
I want to buy GMX212 but ive heard its not heavy enough for stuff like Metallica / Pantera... should i buy a Boss MetalZone Stomp Box to give some distortion to it ? or is it good enough?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Bugera is crap as well.. My 333xl broke down in a week. Very poorly made. The amps are cheap for a reason. You get what you pay for. The only people who tend to like Bugera are those who cannot afford anything better.
i own both the half stack and the 30 watt combo and the halfstack is insane i play in a heavy metal band and its very very loud with amazing tone and surprisingly heavy distortion but it also has great british and american blues sound. the 30 watt will blow you away i used it for a head on my cab for the longest time and it has stud up to everything and it was plenty loud enough for shows. these amps are amazing just make sure you get the 400 watt handling cab or you risk blowing speakers
Would this amp be good for classic rock... i play a lot of Zep and Pink Floyd type stuff and I was considering getting the 210 version of this amp... would this be a good choice...
I had the 210 and I upgraded to the 212 because it has a presence control, which makes a big difference in the sound. If you only want to play at home, get the 210. If you want to play out, get the 212. And yes these are excellent for classic rock in my opinion. I can get tons of rock tones out of mine and the effects are cool too.
check out the blackheart bh15-112 all tube combo. AMAZING sounding amps for a good price. new i think is 450. check out pro guitar shop. com's review of this series.
hey! you hardly did the gmx1200 justice on this demo here! I was going to get an ampeg vh140c and stumbled on a demo model gmx1200 like this one! I no longer care about that ampeg. this has been my main rig for a couple years now, and it blows away everyone that steps into the shop and plays it! Several gigging musicians want to borrow it, but mine is a dedicated studio rig. At first I thought the effects would be lame, but I have many favorites that I go to all the time, great chourus & phaser!
realy neat octaver and every delay/reverb/echo you could ever want and some awesome amp emulations (perfect for sweet home alabama). I rate this amp a 9 for the price range, you just can't beat it for that kinda scratch!
I agree with Deathloc, this thing has no sound power when I used it for concerts. The cheap Crate stacks have more power and better sound quality than this. I just keep this as a practice amp but even then the tone sounds horrible..
+1 for u. i have one of these now and im planning on getting the Bugera 333 or 6262. it just doesnt have the power like u said. its a good amp for the clean channel tho lol.
lol learn how to set it up for the sound you want it has a good sound. you just have to spend a little time with it. good clean to metal even the drop d,c,or even drop b it has a good tonei have a gmx 110 212 and stack the 110 it good for pratice the 212 is good rehearsle and the stack is good for shows
The Behringer stuff is pretty weird...some things are good, but the effect pedal cases bad... but i don't think these amps are good for studio recordings, just for jamming..
I think its a good as a first amp, because i wasn't satisfied with the tone, so i put it on bypass mode, and its a great power amp for my zoom pedal, Ive even heard about people putting it on bypass and using a smaller V-amp as the preamp, for more gain and a higher quality tone. Its a good price for a power amp.
ok i just experimented with the vamp2 mod.. which is what this behringer amp has... and not impressed with it.. kinda shit..think will stay with crate amp with dsp or marshall and few pedals... that's all.
This is the V-TONE series, not the V-AMP series, so no, the Behringer's he's demoing do not have the V-Amp in them. I own a V-Tone 212 (analog) and a V-Amp-Pro rackmount (digital) and I find both to sound really dam good. I use them primarily for recording and the tones I've gotten out of these things have been awesome. Some of the effects aren't that great though.
i dont really know man, i have heard the peavy vypyr is good but i have never played it myself.
