And I had no desire to go there. My ACT score was just fine, thank you very much. There's hardly a difference between the average score of where I go and UIUC.

The University of Illinois might not have the best known music nationally, but this song is NOT the fight song it is part of the 3 in 1. The correct fight song would be Oskee Wow Wow or Illinois Loyalty.

You don't recognize the first part of the song because that is the original University of Illinois march written by John Phillip Sousa (the guys who wrote the Stars and Stripes Forever) at 1:05 and 1:50 you might recognize we are Marching for Dear Old Illini which is the first tune we play in the 3 in 1 now

@2955kep This is a march, not a polka. It's called "Pride of the Illini" and it is used in the "Three-in-One," which is the song that the Marching Illini play at the end of every halftime show (where they spell "ILLINI" and also where the Chief used to dance.)

I believe this is Pride of the Illini. You will recognize the middle portion at about 1:12 as part of the 3 in 1. This is the portion at the beginning of the 3 in 1 when the band starts to sing "We are Marching for Dear old Illini".
