  • He wants some poultry for lunch.

  • my manx cat is crazy, i think she sees ghosts D:

but she's funny too, she hugs her feet when she sleeps.

  • those birds don't know how close they came to being a breakfast!!!

  • lol my cat does the same thing!

  • @IzzieBe123 the cats do tha cackleing cuz they can taste the bird lol

  • My sister's cat used to stand outside in his backyard and watch the pigeons from the back porch. All of a sudden, he'd jump up and run into the midst of them, just to watch them fly up and away! ("Wheee!") It's too bad she never got a video of it. He did the chirping noise, too; but only when inside watching from the window.

Whenever spying an (especially unaltered) male cat outside in his territory, he would "snort" at them. To hear it you would think he was sick or having a seizure! =^..^=

  • i love it when they do that.... lol

  • I can remember wen my cat used to do that. I used to find it quite funny.

  • So cute :) Two of my cats do that chirping sound also whenever they see a bird outside.

  • My two british cats do that aswell.

  • Oh that is one beautiful cat! Absolutely adorable little guy. Cat's are just wonderful, I've always loved them. I like doggies too but I am more of a cat person.

  • my manx does it only if theres birds or other cats outside in her territory

  • lol i hear Wheel of Fortune

  • my old manx used to do that after licking her butt, haha, no joke. now that i think of it, i wish youtube was around then

  • LoL....i wish it was too. i'd love to see that! how funny....

  • I have a manx cat just like him except he's all white and he is a longie(meaning he has a tail).

  • i love the manx breed, i cant wait to get another one

  • I've owned about a dozen cats (not at one time). I have two now. One for two years and a five month old calico. And she is the first of my cats to do this chirping habit. It is something and very cute. I wasn't paying attention at first and thought it was the birds outside!

  • i just love cats, i cant live without them

  • All kitties do that, mine do, it's hilarious.

  • OMG MY manx does that too!! Its soo weird!

  • I've never seen any other breed of cat do this, so weird. My 2 Manx do this too. I have 2 sisters, it's funny cause the one has no tail but the other does, the one with out the tail does this A LOT more than the one that has the tail. Any thoughts on this? btw, they are part Manx (obviously). I have the only one from the litter that was born with a tail. Cool cat.

  • my egyptian mau dose this when i pick her up and wont let her down

  • I think they usually chirp when they see something they want that is out of reach. Our cats only do it if there is something very up high or outside the glass window they can't get to. It's adorable :P

  • yeap ur right....LoL. lovely ha....

  • Spot on! and what a lovely cat this is.

    Chirp...Chirp.

  • he is lovely, thanks :)

  • why do cats do this?? cause my bfs cat does it and its adorable

  • it is adorable....they really want something. with my cat its usually birds outside and feathered cat toys.

  • @m3soohorn3y It's partly out of frustration (that they cannot reach their desired prey) and partly in imitation of the bird chirp -- a type of natural "bird call" or lure. It is a fallacy (mostly promulgated by bird-watchers) that free-roaming (feral, stray or indoor-outdoor) cats are responsible for decimated bird populations. Most cats would rather hunt mice than birds, though, if given a choice. Seldom also are they successful in catching them -- mostly birds are old, sick or injured.

  • wow! your cat is sooooooooo cute! i have 2 cats named sammy and tiger!

  • Hi Kobe

    I know what you mean!

I also like to chirp at birds!

    Check out my video.

    Ciao & Meow...

    Elwood

  • okay :) thanks for watching :)

  • Hes seen a bird lol, manx cats rule, highly intelligent, very faithful, especially to the one owner, and there so funny.

  • i agree :) thank you for stoppin by :)

  • Precisely the same sound my male Manx makes while stalking or prior to pouncing on things. His brother has yet to vocalize along these lines -- there's time, they're teenagers.
