Thanks for all of your great videos. I bought the nook in the US and will be using it in Australia when I travel there soon -- if I buy books off of Barnes and Noble's website when I'm there, can I download them to the nook? I know there are some issues with downloading internationally. Thanks!
@chibimoon0 It's not a case it's a skin. I have the same one and purchased it through Amazon.com. I did a search for Nook skins. It also comes with a free download for the wallpaper to match. I love it!
I have been dabating over the sony touch edition or the nook for some time, kindle isn't even in my mind as I find it just doesn't have the right specs. I was dead set on the sony touch until the nook came out with the wifi version at $150 which is amazing, since the sony one doesn't even have wifi unless you want to spend $350 for it and I have no use for 3G since I have a few thousand books on my pc already waiting for a reader. Anyhow, I'm ordering the nook next week for sure. Thanks.
I bought the Nook, out on the truck for delivery today, precisely because it has a user replacable battery. If the Kindle is anything like the Ipod, then you need to send it in for battery replacement and it comes back wiped of all content you use to own on it. Not a big selling point for me.
I just bought a nook wifi and I'm a little nervous. The price was right, I wanted to wait till it dropped to $99 US but I thought that won't happen for a while and the extra $50 is worth having it this summer. I liked your video though, makes me a little less nervous. It has shipped but the tracking doesn't work yet so I don't know when I'll get mine.
I STILL don't know whether I want the Kindle or Nook. Obviously you have a Nook, but what can you say to convince me to go with a Nook? Both eReaders are appealing to me, especially the Kindle's battery life.
@strcklndjm honestly the Kindle only has 4 days longer life... and im sure you're going to charge it before you go above 10 days anyway.. then again you might.. I dont know you haha. I've been doing alot of research but I believe im going to go with the Nook Wi-Fi because not only do I love to read, but the web browser seems much nicer on the Nook, and im just drawn to touchscreens. Also, it has a slot for MicroSD Cards... the Kindle is stuck with 2GB.
@strcklndjm not only this, but it is cheaper, if you get the WIFI version. im going to get this to read, but im sure i'll use the Web browser for email and facebook. The web browser doesnt work with 3G for some reason. You need WIFI to open it. So, in my book (or nook haha) there's no reason for me to have 3G, unless you'll want to download books anywhere. I guess im just appealed to it. I'll be posting a reaction/review video of the Nook when I get one (hopefully Sunday). Hope I Helped Ya :)
@WannaBeElvis Yes you did help. Thanks :) I'm going to get one at the end of the year because I love reading and I can hopefully get some of my college textbooks on the Nook.
I'd advise you to read kindle reviews & the nook blog on B&N before making a decision. That should give you a clear picture of the ups & downs of both devices.
I like your case. How did you make it go into the screen saver?

In your review of the older firmware you criticised the way the nook organises sideloaded ebooks.
Have they updated the way the sideloaded books are managed in the new update?
