Never played a Diablo game nor known much about them. Heard a lot of good things though, and this gameplay is phenomenal. As someone who primarily plays shooters and recently was re-introduced to the hack and slash genre, I can say I'm looking forward to this game. Graphically beautiful and the story has depth. Hope I actually get to experience it this year though :O

Often, my assassin misses 5-10 times in a row- despite a 49% chance to hit attack rate?! I´m worried, because d2 is often labled "perfect" so why should d3 be any better? Titan Quest should have been the end of this game genre.. "chance to hit" is a fubar aspect when you stand one meter away from a zombie- swinging a bastard sword. Dark Messiah is better- not about chance% but stealth and reflexes. Hail action FPS!!

From the beta footage I saw, I was worried that the only two classes that had true combat fluidity were Barbarian and Monk, (i.e, they, unlike the other 3 ranged classes didn't have to attack-move-attack and keep repositioning, they could just keep on swinging) from this footage it looks like they greatly improved the combat at least for the DH

You can watch the dmg in D3, its just an option you chose to have or not, like subtitles etc.

There won't be the day/night rain/sunny rythm like in diablo II in order to be able to create a special atmosphere in each area.

I think this game could be a big mistake for Blizzard. Graphics and music are too candy, too colourful and immature for me. Blizzard missed the old deadly bloody climat. Too much blows and colourful lightning fxs. Everything here looks like toys for 7-year child.

The development team found that the dark backgrounds made the monsters blend in too much The game is supposed to evoke a dark atmosphere through the plots and characters, so what if its sunny and colourful? I really think there is a conspiracy here that people are just going to bash a game before its released just because its the cool thing to do. Anytime a company tries to make a sequel to a fan favourite franchise, it automatically must be bad because nothing can beat the original.
