Many years back I was second owner of a '91 Probe GT turbo, with a 5 speed manual and all the options. Drove it to 190k miles before moving on to something new. I thought it was a great little car. Never had any major repairs to deal with other than replacing transmission forks and the master cylinder. Though not really a race car per se, it was fun to drive, did well in the winter snow, and was good on gas.

Yo son i know whatchoo talkin' about. don't let these haters bring you down on here. I just spent 8,000 myself. On a triple turbo'd ford explorer. It's got some pretty sick alloy stock rims, thats why I bought it. I rebuilt the motor, put a fusion coil(made by nasa) under the support beams to make it faster ya know? also swapped the stock suspension with some custom made springs made purely from mercury. It's nice. Also.. 86 miles to the gallon. Much love brotha <3

you can put on a boost controller but i'd recommend a new and larger turbo.

these stock turbo's are alright but they were manufactored in 89, it has enough "experience" by now..

further more there are a lot of little things that you can do to get more hp and torgue..

the only big things i did was a larger turbo and increase turbo pressure combined with a new custom chip.

bought it very cheap, know some places to look for great 2nd hand parts for a few bucks and do all the maintenance myself. and these probes come with a turbo stock.

and it doesnt matter if a T/A is faster.

eighter you love the probe or you don't. there's realy not much in between.

if i had 8000,- id buy a corvette c4.. pitty you didn't..

i used to roll in one of this probes... but i see yours and i see pics of the one i used to roll and is different... my was a '89 it was turbo intercooled special edition... but it was weird cuz i was able to smoke cobras... i donno if it was stock or it wasn't but it was tigh it had 200k miles on it... but something terrible happened to it and now i roll in a gtp...

many people talk shit about probes, but they just never drove one.

i had to replace my whole clutch and pressure plate, it cost me 600,- but never the less i dit it with love.
