  • This song is what got me to rapping.Much respect

  • I wish Old Skool Rap would come back into this generation : (

It would definitely defeat any other challenging rap/hip hop genre. Just like Acid House I'd say, defeat any other dance genre.

Reppin Old Skool through every generation. Make it last. It's worth a lot more than any other rap genre. Guaranteed.

    Missed.

    And loved forever :' )

    Cheers

    OneLove

    Tezza

U heard that "GO BROOKLYN" in the beginning?

    Damn!!!

  • rappers of 2000 really suck like lil wayne i hate him and everyother rapper.

Old School is way better and is still alive

  • it's like DJ Premier once said "Underground will live forever baby, we just like roaches, never diein, always livin', and all i know let's get back to the program!

  • First time I heard this song I was at a block Party in Queens - The Albino Brothers were DJing, and a Dance called the WOP was all the craze. Brings back memories :) I Love It!

  • audio 2 is the fucking best selling rapper ever fuck these guys are dope

  • Im throwning a 80's throwback party in brooklyn NYC..in a huge loft...for more info hit me up...march 7, 20009___(80's attire a must)

  • Hey Streeaka,

  • unique voice audio 2 deep classic

  • AUDIO TWO!

  • YeSSS...I Remember!!! I Remember!!!...hell yeah..wonderful...too siiiicckk!! live ass crowd..

  • I'm 17 and I can't stand Soulja Boy and all these modern rappers (although I do like Kanye). Rappers today lack flow. They're nothing like Audio Two, Nas, Nubian, A Tribe Called Quest, Gang Starr, Del, and Hiero. Those are all my favs.

  • WORD UP! Go with the flow, you know what's up!

  • fuck man you said it rite

    keep it real

    peace

  • major respect 2 u i feel the same way and i'm 16

  • im only 15 and i only listen to the good music that came out back in the 90s i love wu tang pharcyde NAS jay z biggy em all that stuff and I HATE LIL WAYNES GAY ASS

  • word!

  • you mad smart kid..Im 20 and i wish more 15 year olds new about real hip hop cause all this gay shit wouldn't be as hot as it is. and FUCK LIL WAYNE!

  • buckwheat333: Now that's what's up. That's good that you're not just relying on the commercial garbage that's pushed down our throats on the airwaves. But you still got a good 10 - 15 years of music that you're missing. Yes, this Hip Hop music thing goes BACK, WAY BACK. You can dig for DECADES back and still be coming up with good music, and several classic joints. It's that DEEP.

  • I think most of us teenagers today can only be pushed as far back as the early 90s.

A little back into the 80s and were going crazy. I cant listen stuff from RUN-DMC and MC Shan.

  • Todays rappers arent half as smart as those who came first.

  • they are smart they just dumb it down

  • wow theres many young people that listen to hip hop i am among them (14) but lots of adults listen to that BS too

  • the only reason weezy n them are getting so much credit is their marketing.

so much undiscovered talent out there.

  • yo i so didnt know that they were mc lyte's brothers luv it!!!!

  • his mic broke down and still he rocked the crowded

  • god damnit. this kind of stuff makes me so sad. hip hop will never be this great again..

  • now they all up in that tpain bullshit

  • ya weezy n shit

  • this is brilliant! if i could give it 6 stars i would!

  • me 10.

  • anonymousent dont say that..I'm only 18 and I hate the music that comes out for today I dont even listen to the crap on the radio...I mostly listen to 90s hip hop and Kanye, Lupe, Jay and Outkast.... Ludacris is the closest to pop I listen to

  • Damm this shit is dope !

  • I remmeber banging on the lunch tables in Queens. YEAAAA MANNNNN. Thats wassup. True Hip Hop. everything else is GABAGE

  • Everybody did that at shool, man, you took me back.

  • i was born in 89 and this song is hot. i just can't take his high voice when he's live.

    i just love this rawness

  • so basically what year did they perform it live in the video? probably 1987, but i'm not sure

  • early 90's... lyte performs cha cha cha after this

  • THIS IS TRUE HIP HOP ... sad / very sad that these young katz out & on YouTube even ask AUDIO WHO ? .... What kind of "so called" hip hop / rap fans dont know THE HISTORY ??? It's like sayin' who is Stevie Wonder? Or Diana Ross was a Supreme?

MUCH LUV 4 THA POSTING ....

  • Who is Stevie Wonder?

    Lol

  • Top Billin was the #1 beat banging on the lunch room tables in Brooklyn Tech HS back in 87-88!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring it back!!!!

  • man thats a good concerts

  • the song is a classic

    real hip hop

  • if u dont like dis u dont like hip hop

  • 100% truth

  • only 16,778 views, sad

  • yea man, this is legendary stuff, their too busy lookin at souljah boy dance like an idiot lol

  • Ahh - so these are MCLyte's older brothers (thanks for the informative write-up, Streeaka :)). You know, when I heard this song a couple of years ago having no idea that these were Lyte's brothers - I thought to myself, "He (or she) sounds like MCLyte." Now I know there is a biological reason for this, lol.

  • wow , didnt know that. they do sound like here. :)

  • GIZ-MO'S CHILLEN

  • WTF! Milk still sounds like a little boy. His sister Lyte sounds more manly them him.

  • I think it's cool with light voices. I myself have a very dark, deep voice, i wished it was lighter

  • Damn! I wish I was there. This is kind of wack, though. Milk could have come more correct on the lyrics. I wanted to hear him say "what more can I say" instead of letting the crowd do it. And the deejay should have dropped the beat out on all the cool parts like in the actual song. It still would have been dope to be there, though. And the beat is one of the hardest, rawest ever!

  • he did say what more can I say and I think reason he wwas letting the crowd sing his lyrics because his mic was going out thats why he switch near the end

  • yeah this is the definition of a hip hop beat

  • ol skool jam, still lovin it, dont u 50??

  • I love Milk and Giz but milk sounds like MC Lyte

  • MC Lyte's Brother

  • I WISH I WAS THERE! MADD HYPE!

  • Now Y'all understand where freeway get his Style HaHa.

  • damn.. way too hype

  • the whole crowd rocking!!! love that shit

  • fuck man, I wish I was older during those years.. I'm 21 right now and I gotta go back and listen to the classic shit for the first time instead of reminiscing on what it ws like back then. Love this joint though!

  • Man, How could you cats forget the Audi 5000's, Benz 190's? Lotto sneaks, Sergio Tachini sweatsuits, and The OshKosh jumpsuits! Benetton, yo! LOL CLASS of '88 up in this piece!

  • yeah this is that classic hot shit! 87' was that fucking year!

  • This classic has been butchered so many times over the years.

  • Like fuckin 5 cent rippin the crap out of the money line

  • ORIGINAL

  • this was from either 1990 or early 1991.

  • know your history son! this is from 87'. My copy is rinsed, the vinyl has been played to death.Brooklyn's theme song baby!

  • classic

  • It's a shame that they blew up so soon. Would've like to have seen some more classics from the Audio Two. I guess Milk and Giz are just Chillin' now.

  • 80s hustla music....I remember hearing this blasting from Jettas and Maximas...back in theday...dudes had hightops, Coca Cola rugbys, stonewashed jeans, and Adidas Ewings, Converse Weapons, or Jordans with the swooshes on them.

  • dont forget the 1.8 corollas , twin cams and datsons dont forget da filas my nigga we paved da way for these young little ignorant motherfukas

  • Best song evar

  • GO BROOKLYN!

  • nearly every song on aftermath contains a line of that song

  • This is str8 hiphop

dont get much better than this shit

alot of artist sampled from this song

  • Dr. Dre - "Bitch Niggaz"

  • mary j. blige - "real love"
