@diamlake2009: Looks like somebody slept through science class. CO2 is a molecular compound made up of 2 elements. Water H2O is a different molecule. How is CO2 a precursor to water? The Hyrdologic cycle and Carbon cycle don't have a direct relationship to one another. I think you are thinking of O2 gas production during photosynthesis. In which case Water and sunlight produce Oxygen gas via light cycle. The CO2 is used by plants to produce glucose and other 6 carbon sugars
