  • where can i learn bagua in singapore? can i learn even if im non chinese?

  • No way! He' s still teaching? I hope he still is when I go to Beijing next summer!

  • I was an assistant coach with a retired juniors champion from China. We taught together in Hawaii. I told her I learned my bagua from GM Sun's VCD and she was impressed. She said he is most likely the best Cheng stylist alive at the moment. He's the leading authority. I only wish to have his grace with my bagua.

  • does anyone here train bagua with poles that are fixed into the ground or hanging and swinging above?

  • XuZhangWang, you are right. Cheng Style Bagua has been mixed many techniques of Shuaijiao by its initiator Cheng Tinghua. Cheng Tinghua had learned Shuaijiao for serval years before he learned Bagua.

  • It's great to see Sun Zhi Jun doing applications - he has a reputation as fighter, but his form work looks very wushu sometimes! His shuaijiao looks top notch though.

  • I've been involved in Baguazhang for the last 15 years. I'm now in Beijing and I'm studying under Sun Zhi Jun. I assure you it's not because he moves well and does the forms properly that he isn't good at Bagua applications. Actually he's the only one I've met who can use bagua applications that aren't from xing yi or external styles. His Bagua is from Cheng Ting Hua's family. He knows what he's doing. I hope you get a chance to meet him, you'll understand.
