I really don't see how God could hate anything. God and hate don't go together. Really, God hating something? That sounds pretty human to me. Also, homosexual and gay are not the same thing. Homosexual describes an action. One can be gay and never have had sex in their whole life. One can act homosexually and not be gay. Homosexual is just as bland of a term as heterosexual. But gay is actually a kind of love. Defining love only by sexual activity makes love very trite and exclusive.

You cannot eat your cake and eat it too. Your either a lover of this world and your sin or a lover of God and the cross. God does love all but that doesn't give people the right to go out and do whatever it is that you want to do. God is a just God and wants to forgive the sins of mankind. but it is up to YOU to repent of what you are doing. The ball is in your court to repent. God is there waiting to save and to forgive.

Christ was condemmed for us. We don;t have to be condemmed of our sin against God. He sacrificed his own son in our places. I don;t get what this protest is all about. these people are trying to justify there sin with scripture taking it all out of context. Jesus loves all YES, but God is also just and if your claiming to love the Bible but not the rules of the God of the Bible than how can you call yourself a Christian at all when you are protesting against Gods very word? think about it

God hates ALL SIN whether it is being gay or straight. Sin is sin to God. God doesn't exclude certain sins. He hates all of it. God loves everyone, but he hates the sin. Christ came so that we would choose Him and choose not to sin against the one whom God sent. We can choose to sin or we can choose to be forgiven of what offends God and that is once again SIN. This isn't rocket science people. God DOES NOT hate gay people or people in general.

I always find it funny that people use the age of the bible as a defense. The ancient Egyptian faith which the bible clearly steals many of its stories from, (Osiris and the judgment of the dead for example) lasted over 10,000 yrs. But no one is saying "Gay is anti-Ra!" Everybody cherry picks from one faith. Consider a more worldly perspective, there are much older, currently celebrated gods who didn't give a fuck. This is probably why they don't get thrown into this redundant discussion.

nimbusthegreat - sense you seem to be the only sensible one in the thread, I'll give you the concession re: the assumed authority of God's word. What standard shall we use? Science? Name a species that has successfully propagated and flourished while exhibiting rampant homosexual behavior? Why are there distinct physiological differences with genders? To encourage the coupling and growth of that species. Anything outside of this is an anomaly and unhealthy for the survival of the species.

You threw in the word "rampant," making your argument not really an argument at all, but a personal opinion based off of what personal experience, I don't know.  "Gay" and "rampant homosexuality" are not the same thing. You seem to have confused "gay" with "promiscuous." At least come up with an argument rather than an opinion that's been worded to sound factual. Plus, science contradicts God's word far more than gays do, so to throw that in as well, suggests homophobia to the reader.

wrt to my personal experience, me and a very close friend of mine several years ago used to have heated discussions on this very issue. He was gay and I would appeal to him out of compassion to turn away from the unhealthy behavior he was engaged in. I didn't hate him. I loved him. Furthermore, I would love to get his thoughts on something like this video....but he died 4 years ago from AIDS. He wasn't promiscuous...but, unfortunately, his boyfriend had been. (cont).

See THAT was much more sincere than the first post. Sex is more the issue here. Fighting for the right to a sexual preference isn't a good approach. "Sexual preference" to me is a very shallow concept. Scientifically, we all have the sexual ability to be bi. I am 24, non-Christian, and "bi." Yet, I am still proudly a virgin. My love has no gender preference. My body is reserved for the one who will cherish it lovingly, not just sexually.

Hey, "LaLuna", nice film. However, there is soooo much missing that is difficult to convey in 500 words or less. Suffice it to say that I don't disagree that perhaps homeosexuality is as predestined as left handedness, or the ability to curl your tongue (both 'genetic' manifestations). That being said, should we be ambivalent to the behavior as it relates to the way it impacts the overall health of our society and culture? (cont).

...there is a ton of scientific evidence regarding the dangers inherent in practicing homosexuality (that is conveniently suppressed by mainstream media and those who wish embrace these behaviors). These innocuous cartoons are at best misleading but at worst propaganda. I'd be VERY curious who produced the film. One should ask themselves, when being influenced by something like this: Who is saying it and why? a simple search on 'homosexual death rates' will provide some insight.

Thompanilla, thanks for taking the time to watch the cartoon I suggested. Why would you only do a search on "homosexual sex"...? It's the same all around. Gay, Straight or otherwise. This cartoon is based on fact, not propaganda. Yes, it didn't cover sex, because that's not what the cartoon is about. But there isn't a difference. Sex is sex. Look at it as a whole, not just gay. I'd love to know diseases that ONLY gay people get. I'm all ears. :)
