  • hey tarantula guy, i has a ?....have u made a video on how to spot fungus and mites and what to do in order to prevent these problems...if not it be really cool for beginner T keepers...this is my 3rd time rehousing my ts because of this?

  • or anybody with experience with T's

    i have an L.Parahybana, G. Rosea and a B.Smithi

  • Hey rob

because i know i can trust you with T's i'd like to ask: are A.Versicolors hard to take care off? how big off a tank does an adult female need? and are there any specialties requierd? (sorry if my english is not that well but its not my first langauge) i know you're busy with all these kind of question but if you answer it i would appriciate it.

    greetings from the Netherlands

  • ROb! I caught some aggressive T's in a remote mountain here in the Philippines. One was black and the rest were brown. I wonder if you could check out the vid I posted in my channel , i totally dont know what species they are....they seem to like like the thailand black tarantula

  • WHY YOU NO POSTING VIDEOS?!

  • @xMasterryanx More will be posted, just been VERY busy.

  • @tarantulaguy1976 haha no worries man! looking forward to them :D

  • @tarantulaguy1976 hey rob i have a question that i have been wondering for awhile, ive been in the T hobby for about a year now and have 21 T's includeing some nice pokies and i do your enclosures with your lids (thank you very much for the idea!!) but ive been wondering. What happens if you leave the egg sack in with the T intill they hatch? they just run around the enclosure with the mom?

  • How much does a tarantula bite hurt? would you have to go to a hospital? details? wanna get one but basically what is the deal with bites?

  • @graphicphoenix Most feel like a bee sting, the more hotter Sp are the poecilotheria...only reason to gpo to the hospital is for muscle relaxers and pain meds for the most venomous SP....no tarantula can kill or hurt you long term.

  • @tarantulaguy1976 WOO! Just about the millionth comment to you, from me. Ive been on your website and are you only selling the p. regalis 2nd instars? Are there any others your selling? If there are can you tell me where, cuz i cant find anything when it comes to computers

  • @kklove526 As of now yes, but more will come in a month or so.

  • Just a question hope it doesnt mess with you but... Is blue...Still alive? If they are can we have 1 more video?

  • I hope the P Miranda has babies maybe i can get a good deal . my P Miranda I got from Pual becker got DKS> he gave me a $10 refund though. which is a good deal !! =)

  • awesome vid

  • Hey robc! Just wanted to say i love your vids, your collection and respect man! I only have 4 Ts, but im looking to expand after watching your videos! Keep up the vids my friend!

  • Hey Rob I was wondering what your first T was?

  • I love this guy, normally I hate spiders, but his presentation of them makes it very interesting to watch

  • Gotta love when they disregard perfectly good hides & go for random spots instead, lol... Nice save.

  • always like your videos man. that was odd that she chose to lay that sac there instead of in the hide and on that other video what became of the little blackened eggs?

  • @Sling1989 Hey buddy....I am makeing your vid in the morning!! The balck eggs made it for 4 days but that is it. Your rosie HATES me LOL!!!

  • @tarantulaguy1976 sorry she hate everyone except me

  • @tarantulaguy1976 hey man i am getting my first tarantula pretty soon i which ever one i get i would like to raise from a sling i was thinking a gbb but whats your opinion

  • My first T. was a B. vagans i got it at about 5th instar and had it for 2 yrs before my little cousin decided to set it free lol. beautiful spider and just as sweet as she could be quicker than lightning though. Id like to have another B. vagans.

  • yeah sorry rob I cant afford adult female Ts no job right now. I buy slings !!!

awsome P miranda.. mine died of Dks.. and i gotta pay $55 bucks if i replace it. I might not replace it because theres a %50 chance of a male. which is very bad

  • Can't wait to see the P. metallica sac's :D

  • are you still doing B. Smithi breeding, I'm kinda like beginner so I want something big but easy to keep!

  • @HungQDang keep in mind that Brachypelmas are VERY slow growing, if you're looking for something easy to keep and affordable then I'd say go for an L Parahybana, they grow really fast, get really big and they lay around 1000 - 2000 eggs at a time so they sell for very low prices, but the choice is yours as Brachys tend to be more docile than LP's

  • @TKeeper94 Most first time T keepers don't want something that freaks out everytime you open the cage and constantly flicks hairs. B smithi is much better first T than LP.

I have 2 LP's and several brackys(among 40+ other sp.), but you gotta look at it from the perspective of a beginner.

Also, what is the drawback of a T being slow growing? You said it like it was a bad thing.

  • @SpiderShane1 I've keep a lot of creepy thing in my life, I just don't want my roommate to stay awake and nagging about the big T that make them cannot sleep!

  • @SpiderShane1 it would appear that I have screwed up lol

when he said he was "kinda a beginner" I assumed he already had a few Ts but was kinda new to the hobby, had I known that he had no experience I wouldn't have recommended an LP, and I know slow growing Ts aren't bad lol, my first T was a B albopilosum at around 1cm, she's now 4 years old and around 5 inches, I was just stating the growth rate as I know slow growers can be a "turn off" to some people lol apologies for the mix up man :P

  • @TKeeper94 No worries man. I know what you mean about being new to the hobby and just wanting your sling to grow up as quick as possible. But with experience, I learned to really appreciate them as slings because you only have a year or two to appreciate your babies, but a decade or more after that to experience the full grown T, ya know?

And yeah, LP's are definetly awesome, but neither of my 2 like to by handled at all & I just remember how important handling was to me when I got my first T.

  • @SpiderShane1 yeah I know lol handling was pretty big for me when I got my first T but it was just a sling so I never really held it until around 1 inch or 2 lol, and I agree with you about raising slings

I've REALLY enjoyed watching all my OBT slings grow from little brown 1cm slings to 2 inch fully marked and colored juvies, plus I had a good few eggs with legs which I'll be keeping some of to raise to adults :P

  • @HungQDang I have a GBB wich is VERY easy to keeep...no humidity oe misting is required, great display T, always eat and they are gorgeouis!!

    Go here to see her:

  • @tarantulaguy1976 I don't think I'm gonna spend $160 to buy my first T! I still want the Mex red knee because it's a slow walking so I can easily handle, it doesn't look so scary like the L. Parahybana (so my roommate gonna be ok with it). I see on line some people sell their young B.Smithi but I see that they are not really an experience breeder, and the price of the P.regalis seem to be higher than yours so I guess you have the better price in all T!

  • Wow.. I really can't imagine me sticking my hand into an enclosure like that.. but perhaps in a couple years I will be as confident as you are :) thank you for these great vids.. and I can't wait to see this stereo you mentioned..

  • love the video's the T's look great congrats on the babies on the way hope they all are fertile for you :)

  • third :D

  • awesome

    love your videos

  • First!!!! Great video Rob...like always!!!
