I like KISS, grew up with 'em- first album I ever bought was 'Love Gun' on 8 track, I was 5. KISS of today- I don't get. Why do they parade around with Tommy and Eric dressed up like Peter and Ace? It feels so disingenious and reeks of making money. It's sad to see a band that had a unique spin on rock n roll, turn into such a blatant ripoff. Gene has put the KISS logo on everything and prostitutes his life for a dumb TV show. I don't see artists anymore. I see bureaucrats.
I cant believe these clowns sellout stadiums let alone bathroom stalls at the gay bar. Its jackoffs like these that make rock a circus attraction when in reality rock is a gift from the heavens, not liberace...
Fuck KISS, seriously you would need to be paying me at least 5 figures to watch them live.
The operation to remove the shit from my ears after the concert would eat into that cash.
Gene Simmons should definitely patent a Kiss Enema Douche that way you don't have to listen to their music to expunge shitty blood traced faecal matter, just attach the enema to the Love Gun.
The best interviews with this band are when they're given more than a couple of minutes to plug something. Given time to speak on influences, the current state of the business and the band etc, they're always well spoken and enjoyable to listen to.
This interview is no exception. Looking forward to a new album and tour from the greatest.
I agree with Paul, that you can't share something, that is not yours.
But I bought all the albums from KISS on vinyl and on CD.....
I lost some of those albums during the years. I already paid twice for that music. So, I think, I do have the rights to download all their albums whenever I want.....
Cause, It's not the same concert everytime you see them..
Besides, it costs lots of money to build a show like they do, every damn time, over and over again. It would be different if they do the same album every year again, but with some other vision as they did in the past.
Excellent interview. Loved his views on the recording industry and piracy. KISS has and always will be my favorite band so I'm a little biased, but Paul is definitely one of the greatest frontmen of Rock.
Very classy and well spoken individual. He makes alot of sense...I know alot of KISS fans and casual listeners, and they're still popular. After 40 Million albums in the US and 100 Million worldwide sold, KISS has alot ot be proud of. They're one of the biggest bands of all time! And I'm really looking forward to 'Monster', as are KISS fans. We loved 'Sonic Boom', Paul! Great to hear you speak and congrats on your new child! Hope all you fans can make it to see them on the Monster tour. :)

@Tonyr67 But then if I said 'I paid to see Kiss back in 2010, so I have the rights to get into their concerts for free'.
