@MrHendrix1959 Comedy is making people laugh. He does that very well, not a lot of people can make people laugh like Frankie. He doesn't make YOU laugh, but he's still one of the smartest comedians out there atm.
I'm sorry but I LOVE Franky and his comedy factor is that he is often a bit offensive but he never focuses on a single race, religion or anything he mocks EVERYONE and I don't see any problem in that.

As someone who lives in the same area as Mansfield, this was piss funny. The constant coverage of her in the tabloids and local news were really getting tiresome. And tbh, she does look like a spoon reflection.

@edwards21416 As a fan of Frankie, I don't mind admitting some of his jokes are offensive for the sake of it, but if you look closer he's actually much more intelligent than most comedians. A prime example is his comment on Noel Edmonds' face; "He looks like if your testicle had a kneecap..." Which you have to admit is pretty inventive.

@PhilTheDrummist u have. Both Hammond jokes were broadcast. But it obviously depends on the person he offends, eg jordan and this swimmer complain, but hammond and the queen, where far worse jokes were made, aren't bothered and just get on with life.

The joke was aired, no one tried to stop it, just people moaned afterwards. It wasn't necessarily this joke tightening the censors that made him leave, just over time they'd been clamping down more and it reached the point he felt stifled and that his style was being lost on the cutting room floor.

Comedy should be allowed to progress at its own pace; the general public will always be the final judge. In this case, the overwhelming majority of people were of the opinion that the "spoon joke" was fair game. It's not like the BBC to be in collision with the people paying their wages. NOT! Toughen up Rebecca: you've got a big nose, but at least you can swim, and you're a millionaire! It all balances out.

Comedy should be allowed to progress at its own pace; the general public will always be the final judge. In this case, the overwhelming majority of people were of the opinion that the "spoon joke" was fair game. It's not like the BBC to be in collision with the people paying their wages. NOT! Toughen up Rebecca: you've got a big nose, but at least you can swim, and you're a millionaire! It all balances out.

Acquired Taste with Frankie Boyle. 5 years ago, and jokes like that would have annoyed me, but as now see many comedians and have read Frankie Boyle's book, I understand and enjoy the joke, but that is what it is, a joke, doesn't mean I believe what he says is true.
