  • Will always be my girl. Rickie Lee is part of my DNA, I know it. I can buy a CD, But knowing people are sharing, is beyond words. This is what human nature is meant to be. ......

  • EXACTLY MEMORIES OF A MORE INNOCENT TIME...WANTED TO BE WITH A GUY NAMED CHUCK BECAUSE OF THIS SONG HEHEHE

  • Check out Raining Jane!!!!

  • Probably the only female vocalist who could join Steely Dan and make a valuable contribution. If they ask for someone with experience with their type of musical approach -- play this album and let Rickie Lee go to the front of the line.

  • Perfection.

  • Rickie rocks~ nuff said~♥

  • I love Rickie Lee Jones

  • Love this song, memories of innocent times

  • oh thanks, my favourite song

  • STEVE GADD ONE OF THE GREATEST DRUMMERS OF ALL TIME!!!!!!! PERIOD:)

  • i never knew this song came out in 1979.

  • If I remember correctly, she was a prodigy of Tom Waits, another all time favorite of mine. It seems to me artists like them were never into it for the money or fame, but because they had a gift to share, and that was more important. Joanie Mitchell, Carol King - Rickie Lee ranks up there with them in terms of talent, just not fame.

  • We were watching Rickie during one of her concerts. She was just sitting on the stool, singing "Chuck E.", EVERYbody in the room just lovin' it...when my 12 year old niece walks in, stops, stares...and then blurts out "That's stupid...she isn't even dancing!" I weep for todays youth!

  • @tew8197 - Hey: I know exactly what you're sayin'. What passes for music today is beyond me; it seems that many youngsters are unwilling to appreciate an acoustic performance.

  • she's still playing and still cool, doing it her way..

  • Gadd and Jones.. Perfect toking fucking match..

  • Legendary supraphonic snare drum.

  • Rickie won a grammy for Best New Artist. I know what you mean CUBALAW, that she didn't become a superstar--but she was a star. Rickie spent a lot of time in Europe. Probably she was happy with the level of fame she had--I'm just guessing. Another artist, also unique, and one of my faves is Lotti Golden. She's less known than Rickie, but wonderful as well.

  • I love her music

  • this whole c d is one if not the best , every song a hit !!!

  • So smoothy wavy cool times of the 70's. Oh it's never gonna be the same. We understand her groove. This was our favourite song. She was our star. Thanks for posting QuinhoMaluku!

  • Sweet childhood memories 2 ta this. Think this was round da time when i got my 1st kiss.

  • How she did not become a star I'll never understand...

  • Hard to believe it's been over 30 years since Rickie had her 15 minutes of cool.

  • I remember this joint from when i was a kid, in middle school, it was called jr. high back then!!! thanx for the memories!!!!

  • good music, good times ,,,,love it

  • This song is very difficult to cover and make sound even half as good as Rickie's original. I think I'll just give up. ha, ha. There are some songs ya just shouldn't try to replicate. This is one of them.

  • @PizmoBeach1 so true..... can't put that awesome sound together like she does!!

  • Great one! RLJ rules.... Thanks - Dj

  • I miss the 70's and I sure miss smokin too !!

  • STEELY DANIELLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why did WMG reverse the cover image when it recently reissued & remastered the CD version of RLJ's S/T debut LP? That pisses me off. It devalues the album.

  • 2:00 to 2:02 are the best seconds in the song. Amen Steve

  • i cant remember what year or when this came out i just know this song has been in my mind since i was a kid and ive remember the words through adulthood yes im blk. we do go beyond rnb
