Hi , I own a N150 and my I'm having a problem with my hardrive. Basically it is making a ticking noise and will neither load or recover. Is there a possibility of recovering data from bth drives? Does the N150 have 2 hardrives? thanks

The on/of switch on my N150 has failed. I is the white switch on the lower left of the opened up machined. I haven't opened my machine yet but can anyone advise whether I will be able to buy and replace the switch without soldering?

On the Samsung N150 plus can you replace the 5400 rpm with a 7200 rpm 2.5 hard drive or doesn’t carry enough ram to make that change over thanks for your time

@tsanjadee The amount of ram is irrelevant. Yes you can put in a 7200 rpm drive, provided you don't get one which is too large physically.

The newer ones that have the Atom N455 processor take DDR3 SODIMM. Check before you buy more RAM.

Yeah, I've been destroying laptops ever since leaving the battery in while it's off.

One time when I was upgrading a customer's laptop, then all of a sudden, it explodes in my hands! Then I realise; yup, that damn battery is still in.

@DavidLeonFeild It really really doesn't make much of a difference. I do it all the time. There is no danger of damaging components unless the computer is sleeping, in which case the RAM is still powered. If it's off, however, there is no danger of any damage occurring.

the new model of this netbook probably has one of the best keypad you can get for an netbook

all netbooks that are intel atom based can only update to 2gb of ram...the stock speed is 667mhz pc5400 or 5300

battery life is pretty good
