hmm this has eluded me for years the closest i got was MUD but it's not them, it sounds so much like Marc Bolan it's possible that 'not easy being green' lyric was just added at the start as if you listen carefully you can hear the voice is slightly different .. Sadly i doubt there will ever be an ID on this unless someone contacts EDF and asks them ???

Unfortunately MUD does not sing this. They never sang a cover of Being green. As well as this the clip at the end doesn't even sync with the words being sang. I don't know who sings it, but im betting its just a random unknown band singing it in a similar style to Mud. Sorry...
im on the edge of jumping out my window if i dont find out who sings this song, it is rumoured that its MUD and like everyone else ive been trying to find out if they did this song. At the end of the video its a clip of MUD from there video for the song Tiger Feet, so its a hint mud did do this song but i cant find it anywhere !!!
