  • in the background: "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, MY DICK!!!"

  • what is the effective range?

  • What happens if the dowel does not release from the bands? It seems the blade could come right back at the shooter! Yikes.

  • Your hand is to close to that blade

  • Inspired by megaman 2

  • .zombieindustries

  • check this website out

  • its the medievil version of a gravity gun

  • @sephirothren My mind went straight to the Gravity Gun when I saw this, haha.

  • maybe you should have some type of spool that spins the saw blade first than releases it... so then you can get the uber deadly spin

  • It's a real life Splicer!!!

  • I love your video's and I like this slingshot the best!!!

can you shoot this sawblade on balistic gelatin or wood?

  • but the big question everyone is asking.... how good is it at trimming your trees??

  • this is brilliant but in order to achieve the full half live zombie slicing potential the blade cannot have handles because it stopped it going through the watermelon.

  • Долбоёб.

  • Клёвый мужик.

  • Wow. That's... scary D:

  • I think i found my new tree trimmer

  • yeahh that will keep the naibroughs kids off my lawn

  • u r one coooool dare devil great work

  • Man this is so awesome, your passion for slingshots is remarkable and gives birth to some deadly devices :))) I like to see passionate people. Keep up the good work, kind sir.

    Grüße aus Berlin

  • Thant's awesome! You are one sick dude!

  • That's the mot badass thing I've seen in my life. And I've seen a ninja monkey do truffle shuffle on space shuttle that's on fire

  • Am I the only one to think of Half Life 2?

  • @ZeQiR i was thinking Unreal Tournament .

  • Who the hell flagged this!!

  • FPSGerman.

  • whats up with you and zombis

  • I would have designed it far far different, I would have kept the single rubber sling slightly modified with a steel U shaped bracket then I would have the launcher designed so it loads it wrapped around the back end in a curve with a guide rail so it whips it out with a spin instead of having the weighty dowels at the sides. If I had the time I bet I could design one that launches it at insane speeds.

  • Its called centripital inercia its the same thing that stops a bike from falling over when your cycling

  • @snakeyboyinthehouse or a better example would its what keeps a gyroscope in pretty much the same position (regardless of gravitiy)

  • Now if you only made it where it would spin up first in the slingshot, then fire, that way it would spin while in mid air :3

  • Creator would not have a thicker rubber pro shot come out stronger?

  • This seems much practical than the machete launcher.

...I can't believe I just wrote that sentence.

  • No question about it, I definitely want you in my army for when I take over the world.

  • Team up with FPS Russia and make a Slingshot that shoots GUNS!

  • Joerg and fps russia are surviving the zombie invasion XD

  • nice one mate

  • Where is your accent? I can't place it.

Btw, I love your videos! Subscribed and shared you with my friends!

  • This Slingshot Channel is getting out of hand....

  • I see you couldn't resist trying it.....

    Well done & very entertaining.

    Cattywampus

  • This reminds me of half life two...

  • @TheRefurinN Or the ripper from Dead Space.

  • Very good. Rather than a spin stabilised projectile, the blade becomes a gyroscopically stabilised projectile. There is great potential here for seriously increasing the range of the projectile. Try some fins for lift, trailing behind your axle and replace the saw blade with something less deadly but just as heavy. Let loose your creativity.

  • very effective against zombies.. i tested it..

  • You should add something to protect your left hand, cause really if you miss grab it can easily say good bye to a finger. Awesome Work.

  • some of these inventions might be good in zomie apocolypse.......

  • Wouldn't it be more effective if you were firing it horizontally? It would mean it would go almost like a frisbee.

  • @davross600 Tested that, and no... sawblades lack the bowl like shape of the frisbee. If you throw them horizontally, they drift off to the side and downwards.

  • @JoergSprave Actually in my guess it has nothing to do with the shape of a frisbee, it's the wooden pegs that you have attached that are the reason it can't fly horizontally, it messes up the vertical rotational inertia.

The angular velocity (i.e. the speed of the spinning) is of course also very important, but if you can't make it spin faster you can just use larger discs for the same effect on the stability.

  • @davross600 Actually it is a physics thing. A rotating circular blade would tend to a vertical position. Thats why a coin can roll easily on the edge but it is difficult to place it on the edge while it is still.

  • It's Oddjob!

  • sub ;)

  • Cocking the slingshot looks so dangerous.

  • horizontal may be more stable then vertical in flight

  • try a ninja star thrower next, similar concept

  • even without rotation your still gonna run if it comes flying at you

  • So why does this get flagged but gun videos don't?!?

  • @petcrazythemenniss Good question. This must be the only video on youtube that has an age limit, even though there is NO swearing, nudity or brutatlity. I guess the yt people simply don't like slingshots very much.

  • @JoergSprave I think they're afraid children are going to see this and build Death Machine Slighshots. Which seems rather absurd.

  • People can't handle the insane amounts of awesome and badassery.

    They're wimps.

  • @JoergSprave It's probably because its very simple to put together and very deadly. Could go into the wrong hands :(

  • @JoergSprave In america switchblades are illegal but semiautomatic rifles are not... it's america.

  • @petcrazythemenniss Well, I think neither should be flagged but to answer your question I'm sure that's because you can't really make a firearm in your backyard yet some kid may try and make this. I will again state, I think neither should be flagged or taken down.

  • ingenious

  • I love all of you videos and you have a great sense of humor

  • Your videos are awesome, and thanks for doing them in English as well. My German isn't that great.

  • This will be very useful when the zombie apocalypse Arrive!

  • Another great weapon! It's a shame the pegs can't detach somehow before flight.

  • This is fucking awesome

  • "Steel balls AND saws" :P

  • Good Lord.

  • every time he says ruberband i think hes american but anyways awesome video

  • LOL, I was glad to see a comment by Joerg recently. I have had horrible images of him with sawn off fingers or serated wounds on his face since we haven't seen a posting by him in recent weeks. Glad he is still able to type, at least. Circular saw blades are just dying to cut human flesh. :)

  • Two things. First. . . .I WANT TO SEE MORE DEMONSTRATIONS WITH THIS THING!

Second, Have you tried loading the blade in the other direction? It looks like, with the way you loaded it for the shots demonstrated here, that, when released, the blade would hit the rubber and actually be rotating backwards. Maybe this was attempted and it affected the stability of the blade in the air, I don't know, but it would give the blade greater cutting power if it were to be mounted this way.

  • Joerg is an absolute NUTTER...I LOVE his work!

  • Joerg is an absolute NUTTER...I LOVE his work!

  • @kugelfisch2222222222 That's right, the teeth should 'bite' in the object, not skip over it.

  • im consistently amazed at how deadly these weapons with such basic design

  • could i cut my penus with these

  • cutd i cut my penuss off

  • Next up, the throwing axe slingshot!?

  • 2:18

  • WHO THE FUCK FLAGGED THIS? IM GOING TO RIP THEIR BALLS OFF!!!

  • I can't believe how accurate that is.

  • What happens if the rubber band gets wrapped on a peg causing the blade to whip back at you. Just a warning for DIY'ers out there.

  • Hey Joerg, have you ever thought about investing in a high speed camera, it may help the slowed down parts of your video look a little less grainy? Never the less, keep the videos coming, they are awesome.

  • @sidd0123

Don't you know he is already using one? But HD Slowmo cameras are expensive as crap.

For example the camera used to shoot Jackass 3D costs between 50 and 150 thousand dollars.

And for a hobby project that doesn't earn him much if anything thats a lot of money to spend.

  • @heino1989 A true hispeed pro grade cam is outrageously expensive. Even used ones from a few years back are waaaay above my hobby budget. But more and more TV companies are now showing up in order to make a piece about me, and these guys do have access to pro equipment. So who knows?

  • @heino1989 Chill out mate, I know they cost a lot, I'm talking about used ones if he can get his hands on one.

  • I never thought slingshots could be so awesome- You are a genius sir.

  • Sir, you continue to amaze me. Your creations get more and more interesting.

  • omg, a real life super villain! Incredible engineering my friend 5/5

  • Shooting sawblades :D , you are officially out of your mind now.

I actually have a suggestion for your next project. Instead of a slingshot to shoot ON watermelons, a massive slingshot to shoot watermelons with.

    That's next-level insanity :)

  • Jason will ask for a Santa Claus in the next Christmas

  • Now this is a guy you wouldn't want to mess with!

  • very very half life

  • Zombie apocalypse. Im goin to his house

  • @JoergSprave I have a question for you. The sling-shots you make are very deadly and I would love to own one but is it legal to make such powerful "toys" (calling them toys cause they're still sling shots)

  • Time to trim the hedges!

  • Evil genius Lex Luther does it again.

  • I wish you were my neighbor!

  • Joerg have you or can you make a slingshot where your legs are the frame and you lay down and pull back please? also can you please create flammable rounds? or exploding rounds? thank you and bye bye.

  • Jörg, make a Soviet-Russia slingshot in which you hold the object that sits in the pouch and the slingshot gets fired !!

  • You just proved the ausomeness of shooting crazy ass sharp shit out of a sling shot. We want more.

  • Why the hell wasn't Usopp from One Piece this bad ass?????

  • The sawblade needs to rotate so it gains an angular momentum, wich makes it stay in line.

  • Id go zombie hunting with it...

  • If he shoots firearms, trolls will just call him an FPSRussia ripoff. Slingshots make him unique already, we don't really need one more FPSGermany.

  • @TheFinalAdvent Well, if I would live in a country with no gun laws at all, I'd love to make guns at home and show them on youtube. FPSRussia is mostly shooting his guns, I'd be designing and making them. I have a few good ideas that I probably won't ever follow up, for legal reasons. So slingshots it is!

  • bet there's no squirrels in his forest

  • I like you. Do you want to be my uncle? OR MY DAD!!

  • I think this guy should be a Marvel villain. Sling shot saw man VS Wolverine that would be a interesting comic.

  • @stasysBR Why can't I be the good guy? Just kidding.

  • @JoergSprave cause the villain its always the cool guy

  • @JoergSprave Because stopping thiefs by shooting sawblades at them just doesn't work ;)

  • I'd add more weight. Maybe metal bolts instead of the dowls.

  • Man i'm totally loving your videos you have such a nice voice.

  • UT99 Ripper prototype. Nice.

  • @JewTubeUsername imagine Jeorg making the flake cannon, that shoots scrap metal buckshot!?!

  • where can i get one?

  • Jesus fuck, this guy is hardcore.

  • Nice, maybe combining it with a dremel would make it even better (seach for "dremel cd" on youtube)

  • Is it possible to hollow the rounds you use out? I ask this because this would open the possibility of filling said balls with some sort of volatile substance that would explode/burn on contact. What I had in mind was a hollowed out steel round filled with thermite (homemade or otherwise) with some sort of contact detonator or something. If this isn't safe.physically possible (I know thermite needs a really high temperature to burn) but I'd just like to know/issue a challenge if safe/possible

  • I'm a straight man, yet I want to bear your children.

  • are you engineer or something like that?

  • This guy has obviously played Half-Life 2.

  • If you could spin it from the axle rather than the tip of the blade you'd get more rotation speed and accuracy.

  • Awesome.

  • Dude becareful, thats some scary shit.

  • Am I the only one who finds this video really funny? I dont know why either.

  • Try to shoot a bowling ball please

  • STUFF PHILL LIKES LIKES LIKES!

  • Joe u crazy son of a gun ! u made crazy weapons .. this reminds me of the movie Predator when he shot people with that saw blade..im sure there must be a simpler way to shoot this ?

  • Maybe there is a way to make a dowel kind of cut in half and break at the end of "barrel"? but only in one direction, so it won't break while cocked. So that the only thing flying away would be sawblade and be able to cut through watermelon/head.

  • You need to make a slingshot that shoots slingshots!!! call it the slingshot squared :)

  • Comment removed

  • you need to make a handle bar for the other hand so that the hand is farther away from the blade!

  • You're ready for the zombie invasion!

  • Who's selling you all these WATERMELONS?! :(. Do you eat them after tests? haha

Your engineering skills are the best! You could easily survive Zombie Apocalypse!

  • Needs a motor when it is set to shoot to get it spinning. A rotating disk is far more accurate and will fly farther.

  • Reason #367 of why I am afraid of Germans

  • @mirkoislavko24 Aren't those who put comments on the videos of stupid people always a bit MORE stupid? :)

  • @mirkoislavko24 LOL no one likes you

  • @mirkoislavko24 LOL you have no friends

  • in the slow-mo watermelon shot - it doesn't look like there is much rotation at all to the blade....

  • @mtbpozz Don't forget the entire shot took less than a tenth of a second, in real time.

  • @JoergSprave good point, thanks. Just watched several of your other vids - fascinating! Have you done a video to show what level of accuracy you can achieve with a slingshot? It is plain that you have a passion for this subject, keep up the great work!

  • @mtbpozz I am accurate enough, but guys like Rufus Hussey (who passed away in '94), Bill Hays and Jeff Harris are the true masters of accuracy. Bill Hays can split a poker card in half, lengthwise, from 20 yards, easily.

  • Awesome! I think the next step in this particular model would be to find a way to have the "arms" in the dowel to detach. I'm sure the blade would have went through the watermelon if the dowel didn't stick out after it was fired.

Being an engineer I love seeing how it actually works mechanically

  • Damn, this thing would look sick in the next new hollywood Zombie movie. All of the slingshots you've made are high quality, but could easily be made from "scavenged" materials after an apocalypse, and a flying saw blade to the face would make for good action scenes. Sehr gut gemacht!

  • SXEPHIL gave you a shoutout on his latest video.

  • I agree, "rotation is necessary!" Love the videos.

  • Ausgewandert in die USA?

  • You could kill a man with that.

  • Dude, you so totally ROCK!!!

  • @squidentity. Ummmm let me think....

Maby because the possibility of just about any malfunction would result in highly accelerated bits of rubber ,timber splinters, HIGH CARBON STEEL SAW BLADES! etc, flinging back directly into his friggin eyes!

Call my crazy but when I go skydiving, I like to wear a shute, you kno, just in case I wanna FRIGGIN LIVE!

  • dudu you are so awesome xD

  • HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA Damn joerg your a funny guy! "Aluminium tubes taking 'Samples' outta everything. Love ya work bro.

  • I'm definitely gonna join this guy during the Zombie Apocalypse.

  • why the fuck is this flagged?!

  • why on earth has he got those stupid eye protectors on!?

  • @squidentity I think they look rather cool.

  • @JoergSprave very cool indeed, but they're not gonna stop a spinning blade!! :D

  • @JoergSprave Thank you for making such wonderful slingshot crossbows. they are a fascinating example of human engineering :D

  • @squidentity Because having eyes is awesome.
