  • I saw it live in 1976 in Philadelphia. Still gives me chills. Can't remember who the opening act was, but it might have been Leo Kotte. She was also touring with Firefall around that time. But this was an AWESOME show, and Linda is the good.

  • long live buddy holly

  • must been been great to be at this concert

  • IN 1976 SHE WAS NEARLY THIRTY YEARS OLD ~ born in 1946 he was the voice for many boomers

  • ..........\0/...

  • I still listen to this song a lot. It has a lot of personal meaning. Love it!

  • I can so relate to the words in this song! Linda is pure perfection, always has been and always will be!!!!

  • Brains, beauty (both inside & out) and unparalleled talent.

Since I first heard her in 1967, I’ve been a huge fan (and I must admit have had a secret crush on her like so many other men).

She has brought joy to many millions with her incomparable vocals, angelic voice and good deeds.

Johnnie Carson put it best, after hearing her sing, “When You Wish Upon a Star”, he said, “Now that’s real class!”

She is truly a national treasure.

Happy Birthday, Linda and best wishes for many more!

  • Repeat....WOW!!!! Her voice is perfect, this is the third song I have listened from this concert and I am blown away on how perfect her voice is!

  • I'm married to Linda Ronstadt in a parallel universe.

    Don't believe me?

Hold on...I'll go get the birth certificate.

Be back to show it to you in black-and-white

    in only 2 million years.

    Just sit right there....

  • Kinda hate to hear this great song reduced to a moody lazy ballad. Ronstadt is pretty good but some classics should just be left alone.

  • @GANNAMEDE My friend, I assume you are referring to the Buddy Holly version. If you listen to the original version, written and sung by Paul Anka, I think you'd be grateful it didn't get left alone.

  • I discovered this concert today for the first time, I am simply blown away. I feel like I am hearing this song and really hearing it for the first time. This is a magnificent performance and this lady is so talented and I was blessed to be 16 when she was singing like this. My GOD she is gorgeous, not only that she is effortlessly stunning in every possible way you could use words.

  • These are just amazing, thanks for posting PretselFarmer!

  • merci a vous pretzelfarmer

  • Ladies and Gentlemen this woman was born without a bad note in her body. Her delivery is so good, just close your eyes and think you are listening to the CD (VINYL)

  • ich fang jedesmal das Weinen an wenn ich dieses Lied höre!

Kann es noch was Sentimentaleres geben als dieses Lied und diese Stimme!

  • I've never seen anything like this. I don't remember seeing this released in 1976 or 1977. What a voice.

  • Is this concert available on DVD?
