been listening to hip hop since it started and your list is ok, but not in a million years would BIG be number one IMO. but i can understand your logic and your knowledge on this. do research and try again
The Golden Era was the late 80's to the late 90's... So lets just say 86-98. Supposedly that is when hip hop was at it's prime. All I know is.. that this crap that's out now makes my head hurt. I'm no thug...I grew up in San Diego...I remember riding the trolley around town listenin to albums on my walkman. I cant think of a album i can listen to all the way through now.
I think you made a mistake. Golden Age was from 1994-1996(known as the best years for Hip-Hop).And you put songs like Eminems Stan that's made on the 2000's. Get a life man something you did right when you did put NaS-The World Is Yours its from the 1994 so that's aight. Anyways one of your songs are from the late 90's...
@godzillr the world doesnt need to keep its head up.. it needs to get grimey and dirty.. dig through to the underground.. thats where the best rap music of all time is
This is more Gangsta Rap than anything if you did know what the golden era of Hip-hop was you would have included better artists...you even forgot the Beastie Boys.
Nice. i wouldnt have put in kanye or jay z but there were alot of great classics there and everyone has different taste. Iv got a top 10 on here check it out.

16. Through the Wire- Kanye West
13. Ms. Jackson- Outkast
The only two tracks i would hugely disagree with ! Should have taken a Outkast track from Atliens
