They got his character right later on though. Before King of the Ring, Austin became a paranoid fanatic and that character saw him through to the end of his run as a heel. He still acted and fought like the old Austin. He just didn't have quite the same strength of character.

Led to the finger poke of doom, which was part of the demise of WCW. People were tired of that shit. However, Goldberg did have a very impressive streak, but 18-0 at the superbowl of wrestling, Wrestlemania, is more impressive imo. A lot of those matches were main event or right before the main event. Taker is awesome.
