@AzahelHerrera619 yeah youth players do, although nowhere near as much as most senior players, if they're moved into the senior team normally they negotiate a new contract
@AzahelHerrera619 my cousins friend play in german 1. league (HOFFENHEIM) he gets 7000 - 15000 € every month depends on quality and accurancy. He isnt even in the lineup and gets a hell ass money
2 years later and Wilshere is HUGGEEE name in football, Frimpong is getting there, same for Coquelin and Afobe, and not doubt Ozyakup, Watt & Freeman will play regular football next season :) Future's looking bright
@evanbrockwalter Emanuell-Thomas has a problem mentally apparently where he thought he was all that when he is not. I mean is he even lighting up the Championship.
@indiansoccerfan10 Not sure to be honest. Only going by statistics, JET has played 13 of 15 league games and scored once and given two assists. I was always a fan of the fact that he was 6'3 and could run like a deer. I guess I was expecting him to be deployed as a target man in the first team, someone they could play the ball to the flag or in the air to and then help distribute from there. Very rarely does Arsenal sell a youth player who later tears up the world later on, so I'm not upset.
The guys coming up in the youth academy are going to be beasts. The pl will have no answer to how they play. Frimpong and Wilshere cam through the youth system and at 18, 19, they were ready for first team action.
lol..only one of man city youth player made it into the first team,just.BOYATA...arsenal 4..one of them as gone on to be a star...its only lil jack wilshere.lol.
Song joined Arsenal when he was 17 (just before turning 18). As far as I am concerned, he developed into the player he is at Arsenal. He was part of the youth academy until his ascendancy to the first team. I kept my eye on him since day one as I knew he was the nephew of a cameroon international and heard he was talented. Nuff said
Sunu, Thomas and Wilshere is there, Man City Academy is so dead! Arsenal academy have several players that is already in the league one class in that age..
the top 4 academy in England as it stands (2010) IMO are (1) Arsenal (2) Everton (3) West Ham (4) Man Utd Man City used to have a good one, the arrival of their sugar daddy killed it.
well a couple of players at my academy went to Man city for the youth tryouts for man city, so im guessing that the arsenal tryouts are in its city, and thats where the main youth camps are located (in Holloway, North London for arsenal)

Im a Man United supporter but i have to say the best Youth academy of all time is West Ham! Look at some of the amazing players the have developed eg.John Terry,Frank Lampard,Joe Cole, jermain defoe(even though they signed him from Charlton at age 15) etc. But the best youth academy running now i have to say is Arsenal!
@BlakerbMusic as do every other half decent club in the premiership... yea go leeds you have some english players!!! (but no fukin trophies). whats wrong with buying foreign players if they have the tallent? they come here where the money is in football and are you not entertained after watching 90 mins of a premiership derby match? this aint the world cup you know... not everyone has to be english, who will cook you a kebab on a friday night?
Wow i think if Arsenal keep the core of this group together they will definitely bring them titles in the future! So glad that we've gotten Watt on loan at Leeds, someone to help Beckford score the goals to get us promoted!
@supergunner07 Not really. So if someone was 33 and before making their debut for a new club they play for the reserves does that make them a product of the academy. NO!
@sammyb198 He's saying he's not totally a product of the academy like wilshere or clichy. Song still came from the academy but they didn't build him from the ground up.
You gotta look at how many players in total are playing at the highest level from your academy, not just for Man Citeh's 1st team. Arsenal and West Ham are streets ahead when you look at it like that. A. Cole, Clichy, Fabregas, Gibbs, Traore, Song, Bentdner, Wilshere, Sidwell, Bentley, Simpson, Merida, Jay Emmanuel Thomas, Henry Lansbury, (Both playing well in the Championship) All these guys have been there since the age of 16 or younger.
