And another thing. She was in the background of a photoshoot....this was not JUST a ratings ploy. Isis was the most intelligent in the interviews with the judges before elimination and she took AMAZING photos.....she is more than a publicity stunt she is a good contender...just like heather was in the past for autism

I agree that Isis is a strong contender, & she obviously knows more about the industry than all the girls there. I hope she does well, but moreover- I hope she does well because of her, & not because Tyra wants to exploit the issue...

In my opinion, even if it's a gimick, then at least a good one- most Americans have such prejudice against transexuals, & this might help educate :)

I figured as a gay male that it might be easier for me to explain the transgender issue.

First off, she is not a "drag queen" that is a complete different issue. A transgender is someone who is mentally female and physically male. This means she is attracted to men like all the other females in the house. They should feel a little more threatened by the bisexual over her. I believe someone who is beautiful as Isis is and mentally capable should be allowed to pursue the competition.

Claudia Charriez was a contestant on ANTM who made it to the semi-finals and was cut because they found out she was transgender. How is that fair. This is a total ratings ploy and all of you who think this is going to be a positive portrayal for transgender individuals obviously don't know Tyra very well. She will make this person a joke with her stupid comments and ridiculous need to harp on everything until it becomes comical.

I don't have anything against transgender but Isis still has a penis at this point and the eligibility requirements for ANTM are and have always been that you have to be a female between the ages of 18 and 27. Tyra is just trying to create a buzz for the show. It's unfair to the other girls. tb

I love watching you two, you both have amazing vlogs, but I think it's pretty rude to continuously call Isis a "sheman" or whatever. If Isis wants to be refered to as a girl, then let her be. As of right now, my top 2 are Sheena.. (LOVING the whole Kimora look and her "street" accent in her asian body) and Analeigh (I thought she looked really cute in the Health Care picture).

I hated Sharaun.. she was way too cocky with the whole "I am America's Next Top Model" thing as well as dissing Isis. I feel bad for Isis that the others are picking on her/him, but it also makes her/him one of my favorites because I respect her/him for trying out for ANTM. Thx for the review, as always!

I'm sorry you think we're mean - we're not really - we're just very cynical about what people try to portray to us through the media. We feel that Tyra is one of the biggest spin doctors there is. Isis has been on previous shoots for ANTM as a extra & Tyra spotted her & asked her if she wanted to try out, they have also been known to scout girls from the mall & one girl from a fish market.

Our point exactly - Tyra manipulates the show. She even micromanages the editing. Why did they choose a plus sized model last season? Because Tyra was having issues. Toccara would have been a FAR better choice to represent but Tyra wasn't having issues with her own weight then. We have no problem with Tyra's weight - she does. She made a point of saying it was OK to be heavier then went on a diet & lost it then put it back on.
