I know one of these days he's gonna rip me off arm when we're walking one day after he gets on a scent. Speaking of which, whenever he gets on a scent his bark changes slightly, it's the weirdest thing.
How on earth do you teach your beagle to not run away? My sister's beagle can't ever go outside unless he's fenced in or leashed. If he did what Buddy did he'd run and greet her, then realize he's free and go explore the world, never to be seen again.
I love it. I love how he runs to her and starts howling about how was his day and what he did. I used to dangle my keys about 3/4ths away from my house when I came from school and my dog would open the front gate and run to greet me, just like Buddy. Except my dog was about 60-70 pounds, so I braced myself whenever he ran to me.
