Both of my Rat terriers are the keepers of the fort. Anytime they hear a noise they will bark until I go and show them that it is okay. The door bell is their enemy. lol No one comes into my house without getting "inspected" first.

Chauncey only started doing that noise recently. If I have been gone all day, he whines when he hears me pull in the drive. And they definitely are not all "one person dogs." Many are actually attached to all of their human pack.
