amd = bang for the buck lol had a whole system for 400usd with the monitor,an acer with the 7450 then build a new system afterwards wit the phenom ii x4 945 95w paired with a gigabyte amd 760
Hy guys what do you think does An ATI hd 4670 gigabite 512gddr3,,,Amd athlon64 x2 7750,,,asus m2n-mx se plus,,,3gigs off ram 600 or 800mhz,,raidmax RX500 W real power and a hard of 160GB plus other vents dvd drive............etc DO you think this would be a good computer for playng my games and i mean like crysis, gta4 stalker not full graphics and resolution but medium or higher depends on the game. PLEASE reply cuz I want to build this pc. oo one more thing is it capable to run pcsx2?thanx.
@MN12BIRD sorry i meesed up i chanched my mind and il go with an Amd Phenom 9750 QUAD Core 2.4 ghz and i think this way better but again i am askin for your opinion cuz your a specialist so reply and tell me what you think.sorry for my english:D
Normally I would say stay away from the original Phenom since the Phenom II's came out last year and improved them in every way. But I noticed you live in Romania so I'm wondering if you can't get the newest stuff there?
@MN12BIRD no i can get newer ones but what CPU do you recomand an phenom II like you said but i want it to be AM2+ cuz my mother board dosent suport am3 and i already have it cuz i had a deal on it and i got it with almost half the price or another cpu better then amd quad 9750 that i said it dosent matter if its an intel but please if you recomend watch to see if my motherboard suports it....but anyway the amd quad core 9750 is a good deal two and here its like 160 170 dolars how is it there?
Yeah Dual Core Phenom II's and Athlon II's all came out after this video. I love all the new AMD chips they are really kicking ass in the mainstream market and that is where I'm buying myself!
780G and 790GX are fairly different motherboards. Usually the 780G will be a mATX (micro) board with the 700SB. The 790GX will be a full sized board with CrossfireX support (two PCI-e 2.0 x16 slots for two video cards) and usually (but not always) has a 750SB. The 750SB is better for overclocking and unlocking cores (on some Phenom x2 and x3) For gaming the 790X, 790GX or 790FX is best. Get that if you can afford the extra cost.
I agree of the Cooling of the case i had a standard acer case and pu 2 xtra fans on it and boom 5 - 10C difference and on my new computer its good i have the Coller master CM690 its a very good case you get 3 fans with it and can put 5 more fans in it. nice video !
7850 obviously. its the same chip just clocked a little faster. Thing is its not really worth it if its too much more price. I mean if the prices are close get the 7850 but don't worry about it if it costs too much mre.
nah go with the 7750 and over clock it save yourself the $10 only difference is the stock clock, it's 2.7 vs. 2.8 you won't notice the 0.1ghz diff, you could get the 7750be 2.7ghz and oc it to 3.0ghz saving money for more speed :) it's what I did with my 4200+ x2 my 5000+ x2 and my 9950be x4 bought the lower clock cpu's and oc'd them a bit.
That anthalon looked fuckin cheap for a CPU. How powerful is it? I wanna have a CPU that can help me run Crysis at high settings but not extremely pricey.
Well there's a 7850 now and a Phenom II x2 around the corner. These are pretty fast dual cores for a good price if you don't want to spend on a quad.
Current: -Upgraded dell XPS 400 -Stock Pentium D CPU 2.80ghz -4gb Corsair DDr2 800mhz -Radeon HD 4770 -450w PSU Summer Upgrades: -AMD Athlon X2 7750 -an AMD 780g mobo (model depending on the money i make) -Thermaltake Soprano case -OCZ Vanquisher CPU fan
Yeah I don't think the 7850 was out when I did this but it came shortly after. I guess if its not too much more. I haven't really checked into it yet other than its a 2.8GHz instead of 2.7 not sure if there are any other differences that make it worth while. They are both 3MB L2+L3 I know that.
well just google it i personally know that the 12v rails amps they equal have to be reccomended range that video card should state in specifications on the web somewhere or where your buying it from but google is easier
ECS have always been cheap boards. Not sure if they have improved as of late but in the past I know tons of people who had short lived ECS boards on P4's.
Yeah, I've never heard good things about ECS. Had one of the blow on me back when I was a poor kid and it left me screwed until I could afford my ABIT.
I've had nothing but Seagate. In fact I have 4 Seagate dries now (160, 500 in PC, 320 in external box and 320 in Xbox) and they all work great. Google did their own tests with their servers. They used 1000 Seagate drives and 1000 WD drives in the same cooled room. They found no difference with either. The same amount of both failed around the same times averaged in the end of a year. Its been proven it comes down to the model and luck to a point!
So your thoughts of them is that they are owned by Seagate now. And you like Seagate. Awesome lol. I wonder more about how they are made and what elements they may have taken from the Maxtor company when they bought it. I guess the comment section is a pretty bad place to go into the amount of detail that I would to go into. I just might have to start making video replies to you one day. Taking apart things FTW lol.
That one is a laser mouse. Most aren't. Most optical mice don't actually use a laser. The laser ones are invisible no red light on the bottom. My main mouse is also an invisible laser. Its nice because it doesn't reflect off a shiny desk surface. Sometimes the red optical ones do so you end up needing a mouse pad.
What do you think of Asus Mobos? I used to think they were awesome, I have one in my server but i've heard bad things lately. Not sure if you've had any experience with them.
I don't think there is anything wrong with Asus. I've had several Asus boards in the past and loved them. Everyone makes lemons so you should read reviews on any board you buy no matter who makes it. I can say I've heard bad things about Asus but mainly support related not the actual boards.
DVI is a digital video connection similar to HDMI. Its used to connect LCD monitors or a TV for example. Being Digital it can give a better picture than an Analog SVGA (RGB) connection found on older monitors.
Gigabyte good and as for Seagate I too support them since their CEO (paraphrasing here) said that they don't make uber innovative products, just storage solutions to store their customer's porn on. So yeah any CEO with balls like that you gotta respect. I gotta say your build is built with some very durable parts.

As of now, it's not the fastest dual core AMD makes.
For a few bucks more, you can get the 2.8ghz AMD Athlon II x2 240.
With 4k H/T. o.o, it's one of the best dual cores around, and easily o/c'd.

since its a phenom, could you unlock the two other cores like on the tri core?

Its possible but on these its extremely rare.
MN12BIRD 2 years ago
unlock the 7750 to quad core
xJL92x 2 years ago
yea, can it be done or is that only on phenom II cpu's
surferstapleton 2 years ago
if you have a amd chipset like the 790GX you can unlock the 7750 to quad core and it runs stable :)
xJL92x 2 years ago
only an extremely small percentage of 7750's will unlock with a 750SB.
MN12BIRD 2 years ago
Nice rig man. Im curently building something similar bit for htpc use mainly.
Im going wth the asus ASUS M3A78-EM
and AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor
I also like your 7750 BE that you have but i think their rated at 95w I believe.
For my setup im trying go w/ lower power consumption, since my htpc case is pretty small and has a propriety psu.
Good job man!
