  • good music !!

  • at least there playing a good song :D

  • Ham radio time to die

  • @othrower74 Go ahead and post a rebbutal. Your intellectual superiority is clearly several log orders above mine.

  • @othrower74 I too enjoy this hobby very much. I have met alot of very nice and interesting people and learned alot about the hobby. If I have ever encountered any QRM I did not run crying to big sister which is the FCC and our overgrown, out of control government to console me. Your support of this massive entity that is sucking the life out of us will be the end of our sovereignty. Maybe you shoudld research about the Roman and Ottoman empire, the USSR, and the current state of the eurozone.

  • @othrower74 People forget the title of the theme of this hobby: Amerature Radio... Not professional radio, emergency radio, military radio, police radio, or any other affiliation that a ham may fantasize about. Once again this is a hobby. It is for fun. All the years I spent in the Marines and other emergency groups, including 2 tours of duty to Iraq, and a deployment to New Orleans for the hurrican, never did I encounter any sort of ham radio operator. We had our own communication equipment.

  • @othrower74 When you say we, you mean the fcc, which is another out of control big government agency. The frequencies are not yours to protect like personal property as you stated in your rebuttal. As far as understanding a ham; I am a ham KK4AYQ. I have only had good QSO's on the radio, however the internet is a different story. You claim intellectual superiority over any other group of people that use radio frequiencies to communicate, however most just piggyback on the innovation of others.

  • Life is great till you get caught.

  • very good! very good! saturday night the night the night I like alright alright oooh ooohhh!

  • It’s obvious that the existence of the FCC is unconstitutional top to bottom, from its basic mission to its most trivial action. The FCC simply cannot exist in a country actually governed by constitutional principles, and its existence should offend your pride as someone not born to be a slave. The electromagnetic spectrum has always existed since the beginning of time, it belongs to none. The radio is a medium designed for communication (a form of speech) it’s protected by the first amendment.

  • @ERICLSTRUNK what an ignorant and confused thing to say. hey look, i can play that game too: the air has existed since the beginning of time, it belongs to no one, so the FAA is unconstitutional, telling airplanes where they can and cannot fly.

  • Went to a friends house and the 11 meter SSB is better then this... wow......

  • @radioguy67 Nah....11 meters is up and down with the sun spots just like the Ham bands. Although 11 meters you are regulated at 5watts....hams can run more watts.

Allows us to go farther and more than just a single band to communicate with.

  • YO YO, YO HO-HO! A PIRATES LIFE FOR ME!

  • @sgtbyersfw Liberal! ?? Everyone knows all the pot smoking hippie liberal pro-legalization alcoholic meth heads populate the 11 meter band. Your statment is so obsurd that you must have posted it just to get attention!

  • @sgtbyersfw Well we are all for government because it protects our bands from being bought up by large companies or the Military. So to protect our rights to be on the air we have to regulate it. If you were to truly understand what a Ham is then you too would be for us making sure our bands are not intruded on. It's like Private property. You wouldn't want people just coming into your home and using your TV and eating your food right?

  • You can get away from all this kind of stuff by just switching to 11 meters! :)

  • hams are all 5/9 thats about it

  • Playing music on a ham band is about as lame as one can get.

  • What idiots.....

  • @MrJohndoakes Yes we have our fair share of them here in Northern Ireland, Why do people spend lots of money on ham equipment to carry on like this.

  • @teamfab Some hams see themselves as "radio cops", but the jammers, fake stations, etc. are more like vigilantes. In the case of VE7KFM, there is a loose cadre of American hams who hate him and are desperately urging Canadian authorities to yank his license to no effect.

  • What you are actually listening to is somebody jamming the infamous Canadian amateur VE7KFM as he speakes to another ham named "George" (possibly George Zardecki N9VTB.) The dead giveaway is the frequency, 14.275. VE7KFM pretty much uses that frequency all the time, despite constantly being jammed and keyed over.

  • Hiya baro68

Fortunately Hams are not just good talkers , we are also good listeners.

This good listening ability gives us skills in fox hunts and direction finding.

A ham that is perhaps just around the corner from the pirate station will identify him and arrange through his local club a petition to the FCC for spectrum violation action.

In time , that signal will be gone , and so will a size-able portion of the individuals bank balance.

    But only if Ham's act.

    Regards
