With the way this episode was, it's more of a podcast than anything. As others have suggested, try adding some videos/ video content in between. The difference between this and a podcast though is that through Youtube it's more accessible and easier for people to get. As for the name, my suggestion is eXtv: Weekly Wrap-Up. Also, if there's a patch in TF2 will you be covering that aswell?

instead of just ESEA in the background, you could be scrolling through several highlights/reels of the Ducks/Experiment game.

Also looks like you are going for a tosh.0 kinda reporting style, which means you're going to need to have more cuts/one liners/lineups of stories (maybe incorporate demos/moments of glory) between stories/news. No one really wants to see a guy stand and talk to them when they can just read a short blog post.

The thing that I'd most like to see improved is the room acoustics. Get that mic closer to you/get a wireless mic, it might not get rid of the echo but should greatly reduce it.

Do have some set segments for your show as well, it will give your news a much better structure so the editors and the viewers know what to expect.

The camera should zoom in a bit and show your body above the torso line. The video on the right should be bigger & show more gameplay. GL

I like the initiative! I think it'll really add something to the TF2 community. It binds it together in my opinion.

Some building criticism: If you could invest in a wireless microphone that you can attach to your shirt, that would add a lot to the professionality of the show. There's no shame in a little mic visible on your shirt, especially if it adds to the overall sound quality. I like the green screen work standing in TF2 maps, looks very good! Keep up the good work,I'm sure it'll work out!

You seem a bit stiff and it really sounds like you're reading straight from a script. Perhaps you should just work with some general guidelines and try to so it on the fly, to make it sound more natural. You're never this stiff during your casts. :)

Also, when discussing league positioning between teams it would be great if you posted the current standings in picture rather than just reading them aloud. Would make it easier to follow.

Recommendations:

Split the cast into set segments (ie Last weeks results & big news, then upcoming events, then player spotlight, community spotlight, roundout...or whatever.)

Either put someone else in with extine to talk to or angle the shot so he's not presenting straight at me. Alternatively, zooming in so we can only see his top half is probably a good idea.

Also, it's a visual medium. Using the vid-in-vid box to show brackets & tournament standings, short replays etc all help.

3 Suggestions: 1: Get a small mic that can be hidden under your shirt and recorded to an audio file. Then over lay that on the video. Also, pin up some towels on to the walls, these two things should help reduce the echoing effect of that room. 2: Change the background image to something a bit brighter, maybe something from pl_upward like the back of BLU spawn with the open gorge behind it. 3: Try calling the show "Team Fortress 2 Know" or "TF2 Now" or even maybe "TF 2 Know".

TF2 News isn't a bad idea, since there is always something happening. The only issue is that him just standing there isn't going to keep viewers interested, I recommend adding more "movement." On the real news they are always zooming in on the reporters, and pointing at the green screen behind them, etc. Just do that and this show has some potential imo.

Alright, here's a couple tips to improve the quality a bit.

Get your hands out of your pockets.

Now, they are out of your pockets, consider talking with them a bit.

Get those egg crates we talked about.

Most importantly talk more and read less.

What I mean by this is it sounds like you're reading off of a TV just off screen. While reading is alright considering the amount of information you're covering, a bit of memorization will go a long way, and I believe you will see that.
