@Boromir26 This show is a sci-fi show exploring an alien species that crashed here and trying to adapt. You are basing biology on human terms. We know very little about space and what we do know courtesy of NASA is not much beyond our front steps, let alone the galaxy and the universe. There may be sentient civilizations on all levels of development and there may be species whose biology is different from humans. They may have totally different reproductive systems and such.

Me too. :) Sex actually CAN be like that...the best way is to actually plan for the birth, so that the act carries much more meaning and love to it.... :) I never knew this facet about the aliens in Alien Nation....really very interesting, and a beautiful way for the male to experience the joys of creation/birth.

technically of course..the whole process of sex, gestation and childbirth could also be viewed as completely disgusting...so...I think if we can look past that, this is nothing. pretty beautiful scene, lots of little cultural references for the alien civilisation.. like that eating of the first shell fragment, clearly a cultural tradition. that or he just personally likes eating pod-shell...:P
