Even if you took into the land they captured during the 1967 war and the Yom Kippur war...they still have practically doubled their country in size. Thy do this by putting in settlements (housing)into occupied Palestinian territory and claiming it as theirs. Palestine is dirt poor so what can they do?

If you want to look at someone who betrayed the American people I would look at Ronald Reagan who even though knew there was a trade embargo with Iran went ahead anyways and traded weapons to Iran in exchange for hostages and then took those profits and gave them to the Contras in Nicaragua. Hamas has been indiscriminately firing rockets at civilian populations, as well as primarily attacking buses, restaurants, hotels, and discotheques, so they're not attacking an army but innocent civilians. Actually, my ex-roommate is a second generation Persian-American Muslim. And I have a Muslim friend from Bangladesh. But they know little about their religion (they celebrate Ramadan and no more) and I am not the type of person to broach the subject with them. Islam is a supremacist religion. Wrong again Stewyboy! In a February poll published in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, 64% of Israelis support their Gov't having direct talks with Hamas. You can pretty much assume that this would include Carter as well numbnuts.
You can verify this by visiting the newspaper's website or by doing a simple google search.

The problem is...Israel does not want to withdraw to it's pre-1967 borders. It wants land and plenty of it. Look at the map of Israel in 1948 when it became a State. Then look at it now. Even if you took into the land they captured during the 1967 war and the Yom Kippur war...they still have practically doubled their country in size. Thy do this by putting in settlements (housing)into occupied Palestinian territory and claiming it as theirs. Palestine is dirt poor so what can they do?
