I like her personality bec i have seen he talk in many talk shows but honestly I dnt like her outfits. many of her outfits are very revealing, I am not sayig she should dance with a shirt and jeans, I know belly dancing requires a dress but hers are usually super super exposing unlike the the of the legend belly dancers of Egypt, up to Fifi Abdo.
Lets face it Dina has always been of the edge of **being stoned**.....with her choice of costumes. But her ability and love of the dance should NEVER be questioned.

I've lost gigs because of other dancers, btw, so it does affect me directly. When all people see is, "...strippers having epileptic seizures", they think ALL of us don't know what we're doing. The dance is an art, with precise footwork, stance, etc. Don't call it bellydance when it is INTERPRETIVE dance. That is all.
I agree with everythnig youhave said, I have been dancing for about 2 years, and I made sure i knew what i was really doing, meaning to study where it came from, what some of the moves are interpreting and videos of dancers since they could be recorded. I would rather dance like Suheir, Samia, or another legend as opposed to the shakiras and such. Some may not understand it, but those who do, are the ones who count.
I've been a classical Egyptian dancer since 1976. I *do* enjoy dance, very much. However, it upsets me when people don't even RECOGNIZE TRUE BELLYDANCE, which is what Dina is doing! If you go to see the Nutcracker, do you NOT expect to see ballet? Or, do you think the ballerinas should just interpret the dance however they please? You just don't get it, do you?
You know what's very sad? When CLASSICAL EGYPTIAN dance is not recognized or understood by those who call themselves bellydancers. I guess if the bellydance stuporstars aren't banging their junk all over the place, people think it isn't bellydance. Dina dances REAL bellydance, not some made up krap like most so-called bellydancers do. Those "drunk" looking moves take extreme balance and skill. You wanna call yourself a bellydancer, then learn the damned dance!!!

I agree, I think there is a lack of understanding of what belly dance is within the general public because MOST bellydancers are very "fake"...-not NATURAL. feeling the music like Dina is what all true types of dancing is about: expressing oneself through movement. Many bellydancers are just "putting on a show" with a huge smile on their face...if you know what I mean...it is annoying.

I saw a lot of very good dancers trying to copy her or dancing her choreos and results were horrible! Dina is very good in small tecnique, some of her movements aren't duible.
Compared to past costumes this one is more controlled. At some point she has to look in the mirror and say "im to old for this" Grandma in stripper gear is tasteless. Dina is a BAD dancer. However in this vid she did ok

I don't get that miniskirt thing. Bellydance is supposed to be sensual and the costume that goes with it too. Its not supposed to be trashy. Why not go stripping then?
