Jack has so much fun here, people seem to be questioning his talent but the simple fact that he plays so confidently and brilliantly with one of the biggest bands in the world speaks volumes. I'm a much bigger fan of the White Stripes and the Dead Weather than I am of the Rolling Stones, I'm not saying they're bad by any means, but Jack has so much presence on stage it's incredible. If anyone needs confirmation of his brilliance I am happy to direct them to a multitude of examples.

Yes,yes, like a kid in his (fore-)fathers candy shop ... humble and having such a good time ... singing the blues, with utter commitment ... and in a gesture of gratitude and affection puts his arm around Mick (4:22) who responds in a cold-as-her-Majesty's manner by pushing him away (4:26) leaving the boy bewildered as he steps back off the stage, stopping to ask Keith if he'd done anything wrong (4:38) but it's only Ronnie who has sensed what is going on and steps in to comfort the young man.

Love the Stones but this movie was a movie Scorsese directed ten years too late. Late 90's they still had a bit of Voodoo juice...looking at this gig its almost a cabaret act. A real swansong. One of the back up singers played through whole show (far left, never shown face fully), the bass guitarist (black guy), Ron Wood, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, and Jack White. That's six guitars in one song, or five guitars playing when Lick has his, or four playing continuously throughout the concert when Mick wasn't playing. WHY so many? Why outside keyboard player, bass player, horn players, etc.?
