This was breath-taking, Kit. Wow, Ava really had "It." Through your videos I am becoming a fan. She was so exotic and such raw sex appeal. Bet you she could have made a gay man straight and a straight woman gay. Ava told Betty Grable that when she saw her on stage for the first time she realized that she could be attracted to a woman too. Grable laughed and said, "Well, we both had Artie Shaw and Lana Turner too!" :-O

I read somewhere that Ava liked Betty Grable, though it's not an official fact, no biography mentions this. And of course we can only guess if Lana had something with Betty, as Lana herself didn't write about it ;)

@gatabella3 Oh Ava is not difficult to fall for at all. I forget from who's biography that quote came from. If the ladies wanted to dabble in some intimate moments with each other, good for them. Thought that Grable remark has a double entendre. She had a romance with Artie Shaw and he married Lana Turner and then Ava.

@Emannt2 And Turner's daughter, Cheryl Crane, also wrote how close her mother was to Ava, and in the early 1940's Lana with Judy Garland would go to a lesbian club where Marlene Dietrich had a lover and Lana and Judy were "thrilled" when Dietrich asked them to join their table. What happened after that who knows? But anything is possible in Hollywood. ;-)

Yes, I personally much prefer Ava's singing voice over those they used in her movies. I also think that she had one of the best female speaking voices in film. This is very gorgeous, Dina.
