Yes, it's street legal and you can run them in the bike lane too. I have it for sale on Craigslist OC for $1095. Used ones hold their value pretty well; better than most motorcycles. You only need an M2, which is only a simple written test.

Wow that looks fun. And from Googling, they don't seem to be expensive. Are they 100% street legal? Does one need a motorcycle license?
