i was thinking about this song all the time. my grandma and great-grandma love this song. when i was little my grandma would teach me this song everytime i visit her. i would sing in my version and i love how you can express this faith to show that this is how you know God is real just by feeling His presence in your soul!!

I love this song. This was my grandmothers favorite song and my fathers favorite song as well. My father passed away last Monday August 15, 2011 and my sister in law song this song at his funeral. I will miss him but this song will always keep his memory alive for me.

u know I find it amazing how on just about every singel christian song there is always someone who will rebuke the Spirit and my question is...if you dont like it or are not looking for the truth then why are they searching these songs out and other things pretaining to God? I think most of them are looking for the truth but anger is the front runner...praying for you all and blessings! Thank You God for Mahalia...a true inspiration!

@LamentOfInnocence1 I have come to realize that there are somethings we may never know and there are some ways of God we will never understand. The bible tells us if we humble ourselves and submit to God and seek God then we will find Him. God is real and He is the only one who can give understanding of Him. Seek God while He may be found and call upon Him while He is near. When it's all over, we want be able to do that.
