You can not artificially "fix" the cost of any free market good. Only the market determines what the true value of something is. "fixing" expensive cost of living goods will only lead to disaster.

The reason the government is being bought off is because it has to much power and is not restricted by the constitution. As long as government remains this big and powerful lobbying will continue. I agree we aren't capitalistic anymore, but public funding is just going to make a bigger mess.
The tragedy is that at the rate Obama and Democrats are doing, there's a chance that they would be taken down in the 2012 elections, and this organization will get axed.
One of the few remaining chances to stop America's downward spiral and its probable that it's not going to happen, because of them Corporate interests with their Republican pawns and media outlets.
If their worst nightmare comes true (a future socialist revolution) it will be their own fault, their sin for ignoring the people.

Elizabeth Warren is someone who can appeal to both Republicans and Democrats. She is non-partisan. Every struggling family in America can relate to her message. She gives hope to the middle class which is quickly becoming destroyed by the greed of big corporations and financial institutions

She's very bright and is an expert in economics, banking, Wall Street markets, and commercial and bankruptcy law. Big corporations and rich people cannot hurt you without doing it through the government, because the only way for a person to become rich is a capitalistic society is by producing goods and services that the consumers volunterily buy.
