Coming from a player pf both games, Rugby is deffinitely tougher.

Everyone here is talking about the padding and equiptment that gridiron uses. Yes, that is a factor, but the real reason Rugby is tougher is because it is 80mins of real gametime, with limited breaks and substitutions.

Gridiron players go hard for about 3 to 5 seconds at a time..

In Rugby a tackle is made, a line is broken, and theres no rest after that. Just recycle the ball, get up, and keep doing your job.
