  • the "day after the one night stand" look in the begining is great :D

  • @plowy It's called "The Walk of Shame" in the States ;)

  • Great video! You are an awesome teacher! Please come to the states sometime and teach a class here!

  • I looooooooooooooove your hair!

  • This has been so,so helpful :)

    Thank you so much <33

  • I wish you could teach me in person. I need to wear make-up now as I am getting old. ha ha ha. I have freckles so always went natural but I really need someting now. My niece works at Nordstroms at the Mac sounter.. She gave me some eye shadows and taught me how to use them but then she left and I can't do it. I am so bad with make-up. hee hee. Great video. Please make more.

  • Very helpful, thanks.

  • this was the most helpful non-distracting, direct blending video i have ever seen! thank you very much for showing this.

  • How can you tell what type of lids you have?

  • Again, this is SO incredibly helpful and well explained - your videos really are invaluable and I hope they remain on YT forever! Long live pixiwoo! :)

PS - LOL @ your "wrong blending technique" noises :)

    xxxx

  • can u pls tell me what kind of foundation in mac is best coverage and good for humidity climate?

  • you should get a sample of mac studio fix foundation; its their heaviest foundation and i used it all summer here in florida and it stayed on quiet well :)

  • this is one of the most helpful blending videos I've watched. thank you so much for this! you're brilliant!

  • I have a question. Does putting the pointy bits of the brush in your socket supposed to hurt? I got a blendy brush and tried this technique but it left my lids all red and sore, and I wasn't even pressing hard. Maybe I just got a crappy brush.. Please reply! x

  • It is not supposed to hurt. I suspect your brush has very harsh bristles.

  • Thank you so much, I really needed that tut I watch you and your sisters tutorials all the time

  • you r lovely..

  • this is so useful, thank you!

  • your got lush hair!

  • This is really helpful. Thanks so much!

  • love your hooded eye shape! :)

  • its funny how its actually looks cute! ahaha lol! good job love! (:

  • This is a great practicing technique. thanks!

  • You're awesome!!! Thank you for sharing all your wonderful tips!! :-)

  • I don't think I have said in any of my other comments that I have left for your channel that I think you are unbelievably sexy. Some how I think at some time in your life you have heard the word MILF!! and I am a woman and not gay but I just thought it needed to be said!! 2 kids? WOW!! Just wait until they start school, you will hear that word a ton!!

  • This is the best tutorial for hooded eyes I have seen so far!!! Mostly they tell you to create a crease...??? which on me just looked... wrong... But the look you showed really works for me!!! So thank you!!! By the way, any technique looks good on you, you have very beautiful eyes!! xx

  • end result = terrible

  • Great tutorial, really instructive! I actually find that I prefer the shape for the hooded eye, eventhough I don't have hooded eyes myself). It just looks a bit more elegant, sort of understated compared to the normal eye design.

GREAT channel, love you both :-)

  • Thank you so much! I'm 21 and I'm just starting to use makeup. LOL.

  • hey samantha can u pls tel us the importance of doing makeup in the right tight type of light...n 4 everyday makeup what according 2 u is the best form of light 4 doing makeup

  • ommmggg i love your hair, and you are so beautiful, can you do no wrong? :P

  • awesome tutorial! I should really get mac blending brushes but they dont sell in my country ;(((

  • most use ful video i ve ever seen

  • wonderful tutorial!!!!

what are u wearing on your lips in this vid?

  • what is the best foundation for flash photography other than mac and mufe?

  • Thanks for showing how to blend for monolids, a lot of gurus forget that a majority of ppl don't have double eyelids (or defined lids). =)

  • you are AMAZING! thanks so much! xoxo

  • I feel like I just had a private makeup lesson. This is, without a doubt, the MOST HELPFUL video I've seen! THANK YOU for the demonstration and verbal explanations. FANTASTIC

  • This explains ALOT. People sell make up to you or when they do make up on you, will never mention this. Thank you so much for making this video!

  • This is the first time I've really understood why my gradient shadow looks that move across the lid look good, but my light lid/dark crease looks don't. I've been trying to draw a socket line where there wasn't one for years--now I understand how to really work with my hooded eyes! Thank you!

  • I've posted on this before, but just HAD to, again. For sure, this is, hands down, the VERY best eye shadow blending video I've EVER seen before. I've saved it to my favorites and it has helped me so, SO much!! Thank you for every video you make on here!!!!!

  • you make it look so easy!! fabulous tutorial

  • Amazing!!! Thank you!!!!! You and your sister are so talentedand gorgeous! Apart from generous to share your techniques!

  • i have neither monolid or hooded eyes, can i still use this technique? i really like both eyes you did alot

  • Amazing tutorial...it's so helpful. ;-))

Great idea..to begin with just black & white.

Thanks a lot for these great tips. xoxox

  • I followed along w/ this video and then tried a couple more times after, and I am shocked how simple it was for me. I have never been very good at blending, so i shyed from any brighter or darker colors. Now I can use all of my fabulous make up that's just been sitting in a drawer. Thank you soooooo much for posting this video!

  • you are so talented, every time that you do a look i try to recreate it! thanks for all the wonderful videos!

  • This was brilliant, thanks :)

  • Awesome and very helpful vid!

  • this was the best blending instructions I've seen!! Thanks!!

  • Really terrific instructions! Thank you!!

  • i just realized you kind of look like an adult version of Michael Jackson's daughter.

  • Another great tutorial - these basics videos are very helpful! Thanks for doing these :)

  • Wish I could get this blending down

    Both look awesome!

  • I can't believe how beautiful you are! :)

  • I loooove you hair:)

  • Must. Practice.

  • you are my favourite ever.

  • what if you can't afford all of the amazing brushes? what could you use instead? cotton buds??

  • Use whatever you have, even your fingers. Check Pixiwoo's video for applying makeup with your fingers.

  • look in2 the sigma brushes they are way better than mac and much more affordable and coastal scents brushes are great an amazing deal

  • You are beautiful!!!

  • sooo good... thank you!

  • I absolutely looooove this video! You look gorgeous with either eye shadow look. Did anyone ever tell you you look like Rachel Weiz? :) Thank you so much for sharing all your make up tricks!

  • 100% useful!!!

  • Request: Is there any chance you can get a model and do an actual hooded eye tutorial?

  • this was so helpful. i'm subscribing! LOL! @ 4:08 that's not going to be me anymore :)

  • can you do a tutorial in how to do your hair like you have it in this video? it's gorgeours

  • wow,you're so pretty!

  • Oh my gosh that was great! You really helped me a lot. These techniques are what I watch youtube videos for. This is real knowledge that I think can help not only aspiring makeup artists, but consumers as well! You guys are seriously amazing.

  • you are sooooooooooooooooooo beautiful - especially without make up!!! georgious!!!

Loved the Bobbi Brwon Bridal sooo much!!!!

  • so helpful.. thank you!

  • I prefer what you did for monolids. But I have lids. Can I still pull off the monolid look without looking stupid?

  • this was soo informative. i always here of the "outer v" is what i hear it being called here not sure in the UK... anywho that was awesome.

  • i love your hair, how is it cut?

  • oh my goodness! this was soooo useful for me. you guys are awesome! and very creative! love it!

  • very helpful!

  • Very very helpful..thank you soooo much

  • i love your hair

  • i love ur hair here! what is the style of the cut?

  • i would still request you to make a Tutorial DVD ,no kidding ,amazing and you made it look very effortless:)

  • Thank you! I also wanted to add that is some super sexy hair you have!

  • what brush are you using? if anyone knows please let me know, thanks x

  • They all look like MAC brushes to me:

    #224, # 239, #263 or #266, and #217.

  • Do you think someone could use the eye looks in reverse? I am Asian, but I have eyes similar to yours. I often do what you did on your right eye, with a darker color in the crease. I wonder if I could do the one meant for mono lids.

  • Best blending tutorial ive ever seen on youtube!

  • That was so helpful. Thanks very much :)

  • Thank you for this tutorial! It's very helpful.

  • God I wish I was english! My husband and I want to move to the UK sooo bad...

  • wooow that was really helping

thank you so much i think u should open your own beauty school give courses to the begginers makeup artist like me =)

  • Sam, you are SO beautiful. In the beginning of the vid, your hair is messy, you're wearing no make up at all...you're just gorgeous.

  • My eyes are hooded, but this technique doesnt work on me, it looks even worse :( so I have to fake the crease line

  • this was really helpful! thanks!

  • I have monolids. :) This tutorial is very useful. Thanks so much! ^^

    Love your vids! :D

  • Where the hell has this been ALL my life!!??

  • this tutorial is amazing!!! thanks a lot

  • Thank you so very much for this video!! It is very helpful to me!!!

  • this is exactly what i needed! thank you so muuch.

  • Amazing!!

  • P.S. its so crazy how different both techniques are. They seem so simple and yet they both give such different results!!! I am going to try both. Thanks again!

  • God I love you!!! Thank you so much for this.

  • you are so amazingly beautiful!

love the vid very great technique's

I had the feeling I was on a beautyschool haha :D

  • you,re very great...

  • for people with mono lids i've found that it looks just as good if they cut an artificial crease which with an angled brush and then blend that upwards towards the brow (however that may require a bit more skill). And people with hooded lids need to avoid shimmery colours as that catches light and emphasises the droopy skin...it is better to use matte+dark colours on the crease and light wash on the lid

  • this really really really helped me out a lot,

thanks so much for posting this video!

  • amazing. thanks for the tutorial

  • I tried to recreate this look the other night and I did fairly well :) Thanks so much for this awesome video!

I find that your videos are just great with tons of great techniques

  • Awesome video this is totally helpful as i have slightly hooded eyes where sometimes you cant see much of my socket at certain angles, I can't wait to try out this technique

  • i notice both of your eyes are different i dont know if thats the way it is suppost to be or not so yuh

  • That's because she is showing how to create a look with different eye shapes =)

  • Sam, your hair looks AMAZING! So lovely...

  • god this is hard!

  • thank you! lovely. i think i like your tutorials the best, very informative and you seem to have such an authority and actually know what you're doing. and i like that you're not too peppy :)

  • Awesome tutorial!! It really is helpful, as always. =D

  • ohhh thank you for this, very helpful. and i love your hairstyle!

  • great video :)

  • just the video ive been needing!!! thanks

  • I own the M.A.C 'Gesso' (the matte white shadow) and I find it really difficult to get a good colour pay off from it, any suggestions? Cos yours has gone on super white. x

  • use a base.

i have gesso as well and when i want it to look super white, i apply a white eyeliner underneath it. i just bought a cheap dollar eyeliner from the drugstore. it works great.

  • Perfect answer.

  • I Love your vids epecially this one. Its helped me to understand my eyeshape better.

    Thanks

  • This was so helpful thank you

  • wow u r good at explaining just as well as u can do makeup!!! ur hair is gorgeous and dis was very useful thank you

  • Which one do you prefer best for your eye shape Sam?

  • I wear them both equally.

I think the shape for monolids is more modern though.

  • Very helpful video, keep them coming!

  • wow girls go from nice looking to really hot

    or from alright to nice

    or from ugly to alright

  • thank you so much for this! so considerate of you to think about those of us who don't have much of a crease/eye socket :D i love the look of the monolid version, it's really exotic & sultry!

  • OMG this helped me out so much!! i have hooded eyes!!! lol thanks doll!!

  • thanks for this video. this was very educational. I can't wait to try the 'jerky motion' technique.

  • wow!!! amazing! I just love your channel & all of your videos...your talent, skill and beauty totally blow my mind every time! :)))

  • this is so helpful! thanks!

  • i LOVE ur hair!

  • holy pup shit - the end product is H - O - T!!

  • very helpful! thanks!

  • urthe best!!!

  • WOWW!!

I myself am going to beauty school and studying the art of makup as well as hair and cosmotology and

after seeing soo much different makup artists you still are my favorite hands down!!!

i find it amazing how you can simply change the apperance of how your eye looks with 2 shades of color!

it is something i am still trying to masterr!!

  • Thank you so, so much for making this tutorial. I've been looking for a good, easy to follow and understand blending tutorial and this was just what I needed. Finally, an easy to follow video that even I--an Autistic--can understand and follow. Most make-up artists make it sound and look so complicated.

    A million thanks over.

  • You are amaaaaazing.xxxx

Do you know what ...not are you just amazingly talented but you are just as equally amazing at teaching the talent that you have. Not many people can do that if im honest :)

  • I think it's so thoughtful of you to take the time to give us this bit of helpful information, b/c I'd think that naturally you'd get paid inone of your courses of blending and we're getting this lesson for free...Thank You so much, it is much appreciated!!!! xo

  • Thank you so much for that! What a great exercise for someone who is a starting free lancer like myself. Much appreciated.

  • This is seriously one of the best and most useful eye makeup tuts I've ever seen!

  • lovelovelove the "sex" hair hahah xoxoxo

  • so good! i love how you do a tutorial for different shapes. so thorough.

what foundation brush are you using?

  • my gosh!!! you are amazing!!! i love love love love your videos!!! Thank you thank you sooooooooo much for doing these videos!!!

  • very strange: i am usually a huge huge fan, and a happy subbie, but i did not get this video very well, i have got severly droopy eyes, i am not sure just placing the colour close to the lashes line is going to define my eyes enough. I think I am sticking to keep on trying to create an elevated higher crease.

  • Neither of these are specific for droopy eyes. So keep doing what you are doing if it works for you.

  • could you do a tutorial for droopy eyes? It would be very helpful since I always have problems with those! droopy + hooded are my nightmare!!

  • You have like the most seductive eye's. Really amazing

  • I love your bedroom eyes!!! You're gorgeous as always!!!

  • What are you wearing on your lips in this video? looks amazing

  • gr88888 vid xx

  • u r officially my inspiration :)

  • Your such a good teacher! this was great
