Triple H Vs Randy Orton pretty much stunk the joint up. I think had they not put in that stupid stipulation it wouldve been alot better. Also if it was a No DQ match it wouldve came of better. It wouldve also made sense because of the violent build up. But it should not be an excuse for that match, HHH and Orton are so much beter then that match. As far as undertaker Vs hbk, i will go as far as saying, that was the best match ive EVER seen. Everything about that match was awesome.

Putting a 30 sec IC title match between amazing matches featuring Steamboat and HBK makes you realise how worthless the belt is these days, especially considering it's the first IC match at WM since 2002.
The main event didn't do the buildup justice. 3 months of The Legacy being dominant gets destroyed in 3 seconds. So much for the most personal rivalry in history.

Regarding 2000, yes. It should've been 1-on-1. Instead we added Big Show and Foley into the mix simply because we needed to have all the McMahons in the arena.

And actually those matches came off MUCH BETTER because they weren't the ME. Booker vs. HHH would have been lackluster if it went last, but because it was where it was, it was acceptable and solid. If the 3 Way had closed XXIV it would have sucked because nobody viewed it as the true main event, but because it went before Taker/Edge, it was acceptable & much easier to enjoy.
17 has been the best mania so far x8 was good only for hogan vs rock 19 i never seen untill the vhs release it was okay vince vs hogan good, 20 was amazing, 21 i liked motorhead, 22 average,23 was great Austin stunns trump classic,24 not so great and so 25 THE GAME WON went out for a bang im happy and the audience there was happy they got there face wins for both titles.
Not only is it awesome that you were at Wrestlemania just because you got to be at Wrestlemania, but that you got so much enjoyment out of it live. I can tell you that it wasn't NEARLY as cool on PPV. Orton vs. HHH SUCKED. Cheers!

BTW, The DDT counter Shawn did wasn't perfect, but you know what? I never seen anything like that in this country, it reeked of All Japan Pro Wrestling, and that right there made me smile.
I watched Taker/HBK through a stream with a few folks, and I was lucky to be home in time for that (I went to a hockey game). I'm sorry I missed Steamboat, but OMG, that ROCKED MY WORLD~! I haven't reacted positively and this strong to anything WWE in YEARS. I didn't want to see the rest of the show, I had a feeling that if they were going to pull a WM18 (and they did), my viewing begins and ends with Mr Wrestlemania vs The Streak. I'm SO glad I made that choice.
Jim Ross didn't really help the main event at all. The match look bad on TV in my opinion. HBK vs Taker was certainly awesome, and I missed Steamboat skinning the cat. That really sucked. Good vid.
The Michaels/Untertaktaker, IMO probaly came off as good as you described it just watching it whther through a stream or having gotten the PPV..
The Rourke punch came off really really lame, at least to me it did.
I'd like to add the main event I've seen better matches between them even just on RAW I'm not a big mark for blood or anything but with how intensely they were building this feud I thought sure there'd be at least some blood..

Umm...honestly, I was just mindless weapon bashing, no psychology whatsoever. The spots in there just weren't really logical and it seem like they just used the most weapons possible because they were the Hardy's and they had to live up to their name
I hate being around the "smart" fans in live events, im always the very "lucky" person who 's always around em.. and they can get annoying, all i want to do is watch the dam show! and mania, although people may disagree on the show being great by watchign it on tv, but im sure it was great live.
Orton vs. HHH is one of those matches that should have been overbooked. Ref bumps, interference, etc. and then Triple H could win.
The story they told in the ring was good, taking into account that it was different from the rest of the show, but the fact that it was all punches and stomps made it really boring to watch.
I really don't feel as though anything was resolved between the two. There really should have been a better match stipulation, since this was a very personal feud.
orton v hhh was boring and the ending was flat, no one seemed to care about this match, atleast thats how it looked on t.v. And watching streamboat was cool
Watched it on ppv and loved it, but the ending made the whole show worse than it actually was. I watched most of the show again today, everything up to and including taker match, and it was actually awesome, makes it better when you watch it again, a solid 8/10 ppv imo.
I was at WM as well (I think that I sat near the section you were at actually), and your thoughts about WM 25 completely echo my own.
HBK/Taker was far in away the best of the night, and the rest of the show (except for the Diva's match) was pretty decent if not good. I really enjoyed myself.
First off Primo and Carlito vs Miz and Morrison should have been on the ppv,2 when J.r came out I was sitting by started a UT chant,Money in the bank was awesome,they should have did the divas entrances,3rd Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels stole the show,parking and merchidise was to expensive . . . . . . . . . . . .
HBK/Taker saved this show from being forgettable. Orton vs. HHH was absolute crap, and we'll probably have to see more of those matches in the months to come.
I forgot to add. Cenas entrance sucked. It was just a giant Eminem like entrance. "Wow, he has 60 people who look like him doing the 'you can't see me' taunt while he ran down the ramp". YAAAY :(

I give this year's Wrestlemania a 7.5/10. it was still a fine show but not better than last year's Mania. here are my ratings for the matches.
1. MITB ***3/4: Some botched spots but still a v.good opener
2. Diva Battle Royal *: Liked the finish
3. Y2J vs. Legends **3/4: Steamboat was awesome.
4. Matt vs. Jeff ***1/2: Good match but could have been longer and better

Some of the things at WrestleMania I enjoyed:
MITB 5, Taker/HBK, Cena/Edge/Show, Hardy vs Hardy, Rey Mysterio's entrance and Steamboat's performance.
Other things about WrestleMania I hated:
25-Diva BattleRoyal, JBL/Mysterio, HHH/Orton.
7.75/10 for me. NOWHERE near as good as WrestleMania 24, but it was a bit better than 23. They better do a lot more than this at WrestleMania 26.

Possibly the worst Wrestlemania Ive seen in my 14 years as a viewer. Taker/HBK was amazing but the rest sucked so much Im disgusted to be a fan. Orton finally got burried beyond belief, fuck you WWE.

WM wasn't that bad, but it looked so much better on paper.
Putting a 30 sec IC title match between amazing matches featuring Steamboat and HBK makes you realise how worthless the belt is these days, especially considering it's the first IC match at WM since 2002.
The main event didn't do the buildup justice. 3 months of The Legacy being dominant gets destroyed in 3 seconds. So much for the most personal rivalry in history.

Has anyone else noticed that Triple H tends to bomb when he's in the Main Event at Mania:
2000 = 4 way with Foley/Rock/Show. Bad because Rock didn't win & it should have been 1on1 anyway.
X8 = That match with Jericho was boring as hell. Nobody cared.
XX = OK that was outstanding w/ Benoit & HBK.
21 = Batista match was solid. Nothing special.
22 = Match with Cena was a trainwreck..
XXV = Match with Orton was boring as hell.

Regarding 2000, yes. It should've been 1-on-1. Instead we added Big Show and Foley into the mix simply because we needed to have all the McMahons in the arena.
X8 was bad.

20 was good with who won in the first place.
21, he made Batista look good.
22, Cena sells. Enough said.
And you forgot 24.
He jobs in 4 WrestleMania PPVs, yet refuses to job to Orton. And I can't stand Orton at all cause he bores the hell out of me.

XIX & XXIV don't count because HHH wasn't the real ME because he didn't go on last.
And actually those matches came off MUCH BETTER because they weren't the ME. Booker vs. HHH would have been lackluster if it went last, but because it was where it was, it was acceptable and solid. If the 3 Way had closed XXIV it would have sucked because nobody viewed it as the true main event, but because it went before Taker/Edge, it was acceptable & much easier to enjoy.

17 has been the best mania so far x8 was good only for hogan vs rock 19 i never seen untill the vhs release it was okay vince vs hogan good, 20 was amazing, 21 i liked motorhead, 22 average,23 was great Austin stunns trump classic,24 not so great and so 25 THE GAME WON went out for a bang im happy and the audience there was happy they got there face wins for both titles.

Not only is it awesome that you were at Wrestlemania just because you got to be at Wrestlemania, but that you got so much enjoyment out of it live. I can tell you that it wasn't NEARLY as cool on PPV. Orton vs. HHH SUCKED. Cheers!

my thoughts on mania:
1. MITB *** (not as good as past years and had a few botches)
2. Y2J vs Legends **1/2 (better than expected, but shouldnt have been at mania)
3. Mysterio vs JBL dud
4. Hardy vs Hardy **1/2 (underwhelming)
5. HBK vs Taker **** (Fantastic & Brilliant)
6. Cena vs Edge vs Show *** (Edge and Cena had better one on one matches than this triple threat at mania of all places)
7. HHH vs Orton **1/2 (Extremely disappointing, and way to slow with an awkward finish)
Overall 5.5/10

im interested to hear your review of the show after watching it on the tube... i think you'll see that it is different and probably not as good. ive experienced a live ppv event last fall and it felt pretty good live, but after seeing it on tv, it was decent at best... i think i would feel the same about this years mania...

I watched Taker/HBK through a stream with a few folks, and I was lucky to be home in time for that (I went to a hockey game). I'm sorry I missed Steamboat, but OMG, that ROCKED MY WORLD~! I haven't reacted positively and this strong to anything WWE in YEARS. I didn't want to see the rest of the show, I had a feeling that if they were going to pull a WM18 (and they did), my viewing begins and ends with Mr Wrestlemania vs The Streak. I'm SO glad I made that choice.

Jim Ross didn't really help the main event at all. The match look bad on TV in my opinion. HBK vs Taker was certainly awesome, and I missed Steamboat skinning the cat. That really sucked. Good vid.

The Michaels/Untertaktaker, IMO probaly came off as good as you described it just watching it whther through a stream or having gotten the PPV..
The Rourke punch came off really really lame, at least to me it did.
I'd like to add the main event I've seen better matches between them even just on RAW I'm not a big mark for blood or anything but with how intensely they were building this feud I thought sure there'd be at least some blood..

Orton vs. HHH is one of those matches that should have been overbooked. Ref bumps, interference, etc. and then Triple H could win.
The story they told in the ring was good, taking into account that it was different from the rest of the show, but the fact that it was all punches and stomps made it really boring to watch.
I really don't feel as though anything was resolved between the two. There really should have been a better match stipulation, since this was a very personal feud.

Watched it on ppv and loved it, but the ending made the whole show worse than it actually was. I watched most of the show again today, everything up to and including taker match, and it was actually awesome, makes it better when you watch it again, a solid 8/10 ppv imo.

I was at WM as well (I think that I sat near the section you were at actually), and your thoughts about WM 25 completely echo my own.
HBK/Taker was far in away the best of the night, and the rest of the show (except for the Diva's match) was pretty decent if not good. I really enjoyed myself.

First off Primo and Carlito vs Miz and Morrison should have been on the ppv,2 when J.r came out I was sitting by started a UT chant,Money in the bank was awesome,they should have did the divas entrances,3rd Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels stole the show,parking and merchidise was to expensive . . . . . . . . . . . .
