We Are The Fallen is great cause their riffs are creative and Carly's vocals are actually good. Ben should of hooked up with Carly a long time ago. Amy didn't do anything significant for the three former band members because she couldn't hit her own notes live, none of her piano arrangements ever stood out, and her lyrics consisted of butturtry. Plus Evanescence's music consisted of cookie cutter riffs.

Never been a huge fan of Evanescence, but they've got some good songs, so I've always given them a shot each time I've seen them live. However, out of the three performances I've seen, Amy has sounded like crap for two of them. Even when they first got started, I remember seeing them on MTV or something, and she sounded like crap. Although it's nowhere near in the same league as Evanescence I actually quite like this song, and obviously it's gonna have an Evanescence-ish sound to it as Ben was one of the founding members of that band. But they're doing themselves no favours by having an American Idol contestant doing a poor Amy Lee imitation as their lead singer. Shame really as they defo had the potential to be awesome.

WATF has one quality Evanescence has and will never give up: Amy Lee's voice. Therefore, I will prefer to listen to Evanescence, being as WATF sounds like an Evanescence knock-off.
I don't see them being as much of a hit as Evanescence was with Fallen. I think I can say that majority of Ev fans only became Ev fans because of the sound of Amy Lee's voice. Her voice is so distinct and clear that it almost sounds perfect. Carly just sounds like your everyday good singing rocker girl. Nothing stands out about her voice. And I am not being bias, I am just picky when it comes to female vocalists. Amy Lee, Hayley Williams, Lacey Mosley, and Lzzy Hale are about all I can tolerate.

Evanescence's did not sell 20,000,000 cd's because of the music. They sold that many because of the vioce. I listen to Fallen and Open Door and the music is unremarkable few riffs nothing special on either, I blame Balsamo as well only a few memorable tracks. Ev rose to fame because of the voice.
@Illuminati10101 You're missing the point. Evanescence became some sort of a hit thanks to Ben's hooks, which were present in Fallen. Mainstream rock just wants something to listen to. The Open Door was so much different. I'm not fond of either album but rest assured, Fallen is what got this band successful mainly due to the catchiness associated with Fallen. Had TOD come first and Fallen second, the band wouldn't have sold nearly as many copies. Voice plays a role but not as big as you'd think.
This I can guarantee, come this fall Evanescence will be releasing a multi platinum cd and starting a major tour.

Although it's nowhere near in the same league as Evanescence I actually quite like this song, and obviously it's gonna have an Evanescence-ish sound to it as Ben was one of the founding members of that band. But they're doing themselves no favours by having an American Idol contestant doing a poor Amy Lee imitation as their lead singer. Shame really as they defo had the potential to be awesome.

So heres the thing. The music sounds good but the vocals...have been copied. This girl has definently stole Amy's style of singing. If i was amy id be insulted. I don't see them being as much of a hit as Evanescence was with Fallen. I think I can say that majority of Ev fans only became Ev fans because of the sound of Amy Lee's voice. Her voice is so distinct and clear that it almost sounds perfect. Carly just sounds like your everyday good singing rocker girl. Nothing stands out about her voice. And I am not being bias, I am just picky when it comes to female vocalists. Amy Lee, Hayley Williams, Lacey Mosley, and Lzzy Hale are about all I can tolerate.

I find it amusing how many people are wanting to trash this group for no real reason at all. I thnk Amy Lee is an amazing songwriter, lyricist and vocalist. She is my favorite female vocalist now...eclipsing Tori Amos (which I didn't think would happen). However, the doesn't mean that that Ben Moody and the other ex-Evanescence members aren't capable of making great music. This is a very good album and not an Evanescence knockoff like everyone is saying. Listen to it without prejudice...

After falling off the charts this week to pos. 160, their recording company called the family together for last rights.

Just came from the Billboard Top 200 site.
This new album of theirs peeked at 33 and in less than a week dropped to position 104 on the charts. By next week it should be off the charts lol.

lmao,...This is awesome. This bands debut CD " Tear down the World" was released on May 11th and only peeked on the Billboard Top 200 at 33,.. it is now falling rapidly and on the express elevator to hell.
Look for this CD in the .99cent bin at Wal-Mart real soon!

Evanescence's did not sell 20,000,000 cd's because of the music. They sold that many because of the vioce. I listen to Fallen and Open Door and the music is unremarkable few riffs nothing special on either, I blame Balsamo as well only a few memorable tracks. Ev rose to fame because of the voice.

@Illuminati10101 You're missing the point. Evanescence became some sort of a hit thanks to Ben's hooks, which were present in Fallen. Mainstream rock just wants something to listen to. The Open Door was so much different. I'm not fond of either album but rest assured, Fallen is what got this band successful mainly due to the catchiness associated with Fallen. Had TOD come first and Fallen second, the band wouldn't have sold nearly as many copies. Voice plays a role but not as big as you'd think.

In a nutshell, the band is successful thanks to album 1, not album 2, and the one responsible for album one isn't in the picture anymore, which is why album 2 couldn't compare in terms of sales.
