Alabama was an exceptional band. They were perfectionist that would not release a song unless they felt it was as good as it could be and that alone gave them 47 number one hits! They had 27 in a row in the 80's alone! Why they seem so easily forgotten by radio is beyond me but I truly believe that future generations will look back on this band and appreciate how special these guys were. 1 tsp. Nutmeg, can use apple pie spice
½ cup sugar
2 Eggs, beaten
1 small Pet Milk
2 Tbsp. butter
Mix. Pour in unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350° until done. (when a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean)
It's pretty basic but REALLY good.

That's very true. You know, the democrat party used to represent the south because the republican party was begun by Lincoln and the northern industrial interests, so the democrats were the ex-confederacy for generations, until the positions changed around in the mid 20th century.
The reality is that both parties want a bigger, more powerful government. Both parties are the enemy of the people, and we need to return the power to the states to enforce the constitution!

You know we lost a war. We were taken advantage of and stolen from. 50 years later we were in a depression and a dust bowl, Hence our song. We southerners understand doing without, My family taught me well as most southerners do.That is one of the things that is special about us. When trouble comes and of course its coming again, We will be fine.

This song is about people all feeling a part of something in a time of hardship. Coming together under a kindred ideal and communal sprirt. We're in the worst Depression since the 1930's. Let's rekindle the spirit, look at each other as brother and sisters once again, and remember that it's our own spirit and labor that brings us out of crises as Americans!

You know most of us do not like all of our history. ALABAMA reached the part of the south thats the greatest for all of us.
Nobody has done or will surpass this bands achievements. They are the pinnacle of southern attitude and behavior.
I'm sick of the South being villified also.

So if someone doesn't believe in the type of health care Canada has they are idiots? I know several people in Canada who absolutely HATE your health care. Two of them needed back operations and it took more than a year for them to get any help. I got the same operation in less than two months. Guess what, your opinion isn't necessarily correct. By the way, not all people yell to drown others out, but keep getting your news from liberal television stations and stay uninformed.

if you're against health care being paid for through taxes how come you're not against law enforcement being paid for through taxes? if you say "only ppl who are sick should have to pay for their own health care" why don't you say "only ppl who get arrested should contribute to the police officers' salaries?" your citizens pay taxes for many MANY essential services without complaint, obama just wants to extend it to health care, which is prefectly reasonable.

My problem is that EVERYTHING the federal gov't gets involved with is a mess or becomes corrupt. Obama has done nothing but give away money. He has given money to people to buy houses, he has given money to people to buy new cars, etc. Where will it stop? There is already free medical care for the poor, they just don't have to pay. My brother is a surgeon in Arizona and does free surgeries EVERY week. By the way, police salaries are paid by towns and states, not the federal gov't.

Your comparison of law enforcement to healthcare is a non-starter. That dog simply don't hunt. Law enforcement is an essential function of government provided for in our Constitution; healthcare is not. In fact, as it is not a power specifically delegated to the federal government, it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL for the federal government to get into the insurance industry.
Furthermore, America is, has been, and always shall be a capitalist nation. Those who want Socialism are free to leave.

While this is true, what me MUST do to understand the high cost of health care is WHY! Only when we deal with the bureaucracies that dominate our health care system can we understand how the health care situation got to the point that it did! BTW, the federal government is already involved in healthcare much greater than we realize and to go to them for the solution is like the fox guarding the hen house!

Because in America, you have choice. If you don't like company A, then you go to company B. But If company A+B are gone (ran out by government), and you only have company C, then if it essential, the C can charge as much and you still will have to pay. In America, we have a constitution and that says limited government. Americans belive on only thing such used for the common good should be taxed. Law enforcement are already part of the tax system.
