@grippotti- You realize they basically ripped off the name entirely of the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, which is an actually WELL KNOWN punk blues band? You'd think they'd be more creative.
@donmega054- So they're a small alternative rock blues based band, have the 2/3 the same name, and aren't nearly as well known. Sounds like a total ripoff.
@superlou1s and do u know that bud spencer was a comic western film actor and they probably took their name from that? it count how they play nor the name
@grippotti- I'm guessing you're Italian, but I doubt anyone outside of Italians or diehard spaghetti western fans would recognize who Bud Spencer is. And yeah I checked out their music, it seemed good. It also seemed influenced or at least had many similarities to the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. Doesn't really seem like a coincidence..
yeah because the jon spencer blues explosion was SO DAMN creative, and they didn't steal their name from them they got it from a friend of their fathers'
@superlou1s ah, get over it. We can say the same about some of LZ's tracks. Every band is defined by a predecessor, band or independent musician. Just be opened to music, why you gotta trace it to some "source" TBK is building and helping the shitty structure of what rock truly is, none of that (modern) KoL or 10STM.
so....the KIDS listen to blues rock now>? your a bit off dude. they keys were playing music fest and had been out for years before MTV or anyone knew of em.
This song rocks! Can't wait to see them at Bonnaroo this year! Check out Buffalo Culture with our Janglin cover from Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes!
@TheWealthsolutionsexcuse me sir, until you post a video of yourself doing something better/cooler than this, feel free to shut the fuck up. sure, the keys are simple, and that's the beauty of it. these two men put more soul into their music than anyone else these days. precision and technique can suck my balls, these guys know how to rock. and you obviously do NOT

The kids are brainwashed by MTV and Much Music bullshit. They get told what they should like and then subsequently because the kids like it, it gets popular. The industry can pretty much make whatever they want popular it seems like. Have you heard Steros?
@corked7mute sooo true, just take a look at lady gaga or akon, pure crap without any sence in the lyrics... lets add they probly dont even write their songs, they're in for the money
@corked7mute dude right on i never heard of stereos before your comment so i watched one of there vids just now and it being legal to make music like that rly does make me want to burst out in tears over what the world is coming to.
@corked7mute dude this shit is all i hear on the radio where i live and that shit is just as much industry as any other pop station. shut the fuck up about how indie these fuckers are. its getting stale
@23rockon lets see if this makes sense to you... robert plant offered to play bass for these guys and they said no... whats that tell you for what kind of respect they get?
@JesseInDetroit First off we don't know if Robert was serious. I didn't know he played base. I just heard these guys and thought it needed base just my opionion.
FYI, the "kids" do want to see rock n roll still. We just are getting shut off by the rather loudmouthed rap, hip hop, pop and whatever the rest of that crap is fans. I love the Black Keys, Wolfmother, The Parlor Mob. These are the bands that will start the Revolution.
when I listen to these guys I hear The Jimi Hendrix Experience , CREAM , the Yardbirds , Zeppelin. That classic rock/ blues rock feel. Each one of those acts were influnced by the blues and the Black keys are no different.
I am kinda seeing the Moon thing, but he don't hold his stick like a Dandy. That's what Keith had: insane jazz technique.

Lets see if this makes any sense to you?
Led Zep, The Who, Beatles, Stones, JImi,
Pink Floyd, Queen, Van Halen, Metallica etc! All my favorite bands, all had bass players! Get my point?
23rockon 2 years ago
So, just because you like all those bands means their missing something?
It sounds pretty full to me. Adding a bass wouldn't sound right.
Give them props man. How many other bands are out there that are genuinely fucking rocking it out?

Jimi Hendrix also used bongo drums and many other slightly different instruments, do Metallica? Queen? i don't think so...
