Solid! I just about joined Jesse this year after breaking my neck up at Millville. Going up to the sandbox Friday for my first ride back. Used to race with Gildea. Was he the one who was paralyzed at New Hartford?
=) dude his feet are straped on with velcro straps. his butt is also straped to the seat with velcro straps and if you look close you will see bars on the side of his bike. he can't walk at all he is parilized from the nipples down. i don't think you seen his foot come off it can't lol he races the whole race sittind down
no problem. he's not racing a season though. he found that some of our tracks are just a little to rough on his body to actually race on. a lot of steep hills and stuff and it gets a little dangerous for him so he's kinda just racing a few of our tracks that are a little more flat.
he was a top B rider before it happened. its hard to see in the video but he has bars on either side of the bike. we call them nerf bars. they are incase he falls over or wipe's out his legs will stay safe and not flop around. trust me he can't use anything from his nipple's down. NOTHING AT ALL.
